Challenge Trophy - 20/10 and 21/10

You can say that again and it's no coincidence that Codicote started to pull up trees as soon as Paul arrived

Seems to me that PT is on downward spiral... SSML Prem to SSML 2 to Beds County......most impressive CV!

plus he now has a reputation of leaving teams in the lurch by your reasoning Rhodes

Yam Yam

You only have to look at welwyn and there present state to see that your comment above is untrue, they deep in the brown stuff amd that is with a thrid manager since paul!

He was in the process and turning the club around with no help from the club itself. If the chairman had handed out the cash instead of puting it in his pocket i dont think they would be where they are now!

if i remember rightly PT turned WGC around 360deg and it was a certain managerial duo who gave WGC hope.....and now you have this seasons fiasco

the point of the downward spiral is that in Rhodesworld only the lowest of the low entertain plying their trade in the Beds league, so i can only assume he is a poor manager

and in Rhodesworld it is the ultimate sin to just 'up sticks' and leave a club mid season

So there you have it....a manager on a downward spiral who leaves clubs in the lurch. Rhodes reckoning, not mine!

Keeps - You hate it when the boot is on the other foot don't you, everything has to be on your terms.

Difference is Rhodes, your grapevine makes things up, mine is reliable :coffee (2):

Monkeymonkey8 - Well I can't see Aston Clinton continuing with their run now Paul Tompkins has left the Club despite Welwyn Garden City's current plight and embarrassing 6-2 defeat at Kentish Town on Saturday. I'm not sorry he's gone though as the guy would have no doubt been pestering me 24/7 for information on Welwyn Garden City for his Don Revie type dossier.

Welwyn Garden City 1 Aston Clinton 7

I won't bother asking you for this weekends lottery numbers.........

Went to this one. From the kick off there was only going to be one winner. Even when the teams came out, it looked like men against boys. If only Neil Roberts understood the offside rule ,it might have need double figures. Or if the lino covering Clinton in the second half understood them? On one occasion he gave Aaron Usmani offside when he started in his own half! Mind you, that's an indication of how high WGC were trying to defend! Unbelievable.

Went to this one.

Horace - Was HTFCew with you

That's for me to know and you not to! I was with the ex secretary of Ware FC and the current chairman of Hatfield Town, amongst others. The published gate of 30 must have included the corner flags as this was a very poorly attended game.

I was at a game with the ex-Chairman of Hertford Town last night.

Well that narrows it down to about 20 people!

Great win for aston last night...............men against boys im afraid!

I think they need a clean sweep out at welwyn, i was on the understanding that the new manager had a bunch of good players to bring in?

Horace - It's not 100% certain as yet that I will be at Vale Farm and is it definitely on. If HTFCew is going to a game, presumably Welwyn Garden City v Aston Clinton, the results won't be on the Mitoo site until well after 11.00pm particularly if there is extra time in some of the Challenge Trophy ties.

Horace - I just wanted confirmation whether she was there that's all.

It wasn't difficult to work out that Aston Clinton would win last night following Welwyn Garden City's 6-2 defeat at Kentish town on Saturday, the Club must be at rock bottom

I did think about asking if you were monkey, but if you weren't you would have thought I was mad.

I've not been to Aston Clinton yet - hope to visit sometime this season, see you again then maybe.
