Recommended Posts

The challenge trophy is back next week with some good games in prospect:

Aylesbury Ampthill Town

Berkhamsted Brimsdown Rovers

Biggleswade United Bedford

Broxbourne Boro V&E Totternhoe

Chalfont St Peter Kings Langley

Colney Heath Welwyn Garden City

Hertford Town Dunstable Town

Harefield United Cockfosters

Hillingdon Borough Aston Clinton

Holmer Green Brache Sparta CFC

New Bradwell St Peter London Colney

St Margaretsbury Buckingham Athletic

WEDNESDAY

AFC Dunstable Stony Stratford Town

Bedford Town Reserves Wodson Park

Hatfield Town Leverstock Green

It'll be interesting to see how Div Two Berko, Aston Clinton, Totternhoe and Woodson Park get on.. I think Berko got a good chance against Brimsdown at home.. and Aston will be well fired up for their trip to Hillingdon.. Can't see Totternhoe or Woodson Park winning at Broxbourne or Bedford Res..

Game of the round has to be the afformentioned top of Div Two Berko and big spending Brimmo who are surely in false postition in the league.. Should be good!!!

Where are people going out of interest??

watched the first half at st mags with NF. It was 1-0 to buckingham at half time, with buckingham down to 10 men due to 2 injuries (one hospitalised) and bringing only 1 sub. Typical that i missed SEVEN 2nd half goals!! Haha!!

A few "shocks" tonight. Aston Clinton winning 4-1 at Hillingdon, Kings Langley 2-1 at Chalfont & cockfosters 2-0 at Harefield. Are the lower league sides that good or were the Prem teams caught out playing squad players / reserves?

Goals galore and loads of 'shocks'....Congratulations to Aston Clinton, Kings Langley, Cockfosters and Bedford for all putting out Premier sides.. and a shock at Colney as WGC win.

The cold end witnessed goals galore at Second Meadow...Bedford were 4-1 up at half time and deserved to be...Big Utd came back at them and had a great chance to make it 4-4 but the forward fluffed it....Bedford then scored late on to make it 5-3.... Great Game!!!!!!

Cockfosters are hopefully now coming together, new side, just needed some time, they apparently played well tonight.

I missed four of them as I left with 20 mins to go to catch a train. Six of St Mags goals were in the last half hour as Buckingham were clearly tiring having only had 10 men since about the 20th minute of the first half.

We actually thought the hositalised guy was being a tart as it was a nothing challenge but he must've gone over on his ankle as he landed and his weight went through it. Hope he's ok.

Still chuckling over the Buckingham supporter telling the ref to consult the lino after his player ran 15 yards to have a sly dig from behind at Stevie Barker... maybe he was trying to get Buckingham down to 7 men so the game could be called off? :D

According to the match report WGC took the lead when number 11 Anthony Stockman crossed for number 9 Anthony Stockman to calmly slot home. Colney Heath then peppered their goal but could find no way past number 1 Anthony Stockman. In the second half Colney Heath scored after WGC's number 6 Anthony Stockman failed to deal with a long ball and Little Coops scored. In the dying minutes a short corner between WGC number 7 Anthony Stockman and number 8 Anthony Stockman, the ball was whipped into the near post where it was flicked on by number 5 Anthony Stockman and crashed in by substitute...

John Smith!!!

There of course could be no truth in any of these rumours!!

Monkeymonkey8 - Well I can't see Aston Clinton continuing with their run now Paul Tompkins has left the Club despite Welwyn Garden City's current plight and embarrassing 6-2 defeat at Kentish Town on Saturday. I'm not sorry he's gone though as the guy would have no doubt been pestering me 24/7 for information on Welwyn Garden City for his Don Revie type dossier.
