Weymouth could be forced to withdraw from Blue Square South because Barclays Bank and Carlsberg have demanded the repayment of outstanding debts. The news emerged after former Terras chairman Malcolm Curtis, who guaranteed the debts, wrote to the club to ask for a loan of £221,000 to be repaid. But current Weymouth director Ian Winsor said the club would be unable to make the payments. The Dorset side now have until 26 October to respond to the claims. Player-manager Matt Hale and directors David Higson and Ian Ridley, who is battling cancer, have all stepped down in the past week.Weymouth have lurched from crisis to crisis over the past year and almost went into liquidation in June. Last season they had to release practically their entire first team because of financial reasons, leaving them to field youngsters recruited from open trials and non-contracted players - a setback that prompted their dramatic slide down the table and relegation from the Blue Square Premier. Stephen Beer then backed out of investing in the Terras in March after suffering a stroke on his way to a news conference where he was to announce a £300,000 investment.

Going to please Rushden & Diamonds after they won 9-0 there earlier this season. Should of gone in liquidation in June and been done with it. Started up as AFC Weymouth in the Southern League or the likes.
