Akwasi Edusei

If i recall correctly-he was on a two game 'trial'.

I cannot possibly comment (not stopped me previously) as have not seen him play.

Has he done enough to be 'retained' ?

Maybe he will get an extended trial for a couple more games ?

(has stubbs been registered to play for a couple of games on the same basis as opposed to actually signed on a contract ?)

First game he was very good, 2nd he really didn't get the service but kept trying to his credit.

As for Dan he came to game on a trial but I am sure will be signed but in what way, am not sure.

Can see why you say that Mike, I too was disappointed with Kenny going and I feel Joe would do well for us.

Saying that I still think Akwasi can do a good job for us with his pace as long as he gets the necessary service which was lacking a bit at Canvey.

Is it also the players own responsibility to be positionally aware so that he is in space to receive the necessary service.

I'm not saying thats the case with Eduisei, but so often, particularly with the younger 'wide winger types' they get little of the ball-often because they don't have the experience to find themselves enough space.

I think we are light in midfield at the moment, but a really good player finds space so that he can receive 'the service'.

I thought Paul Abbott was a prime example of that when he played wide right-not the most gifted of wide midfielders-but he had a great ability to always be in space and give the midfield an outlet for their pass.

Akwasi plays through the middle Michael, or has done in the two games I have seen in him, he did go wide in search of the ball at times to be fair to him.

I watched Akwasi at & for Ramsgate & he played out wide that day & ran at the defence with his pace & scared the crap out of them. Had some good ball control too in doing it.

I haven't seen him do that here so far in that one home game, not from out wide, because he's been playing more or less up front with Blackmore. I believe thats his strength, out wide, & that's where he should be used more as the provider for Blackman rather than the target man alongside of Blackman.

Admittedly I only saw him the once at Ramsgate & once in our home game but but he impressed me that day at Ramsgate playing out wide.
