See, I told you all there would be 5 goals!

 

First 10 minutes - ETFC awful!

 

Fantastic assist from the assistant referee who gave us a penalty for a quality tackle.

 

Cracking goal from MOM Wallace.

 

2 - 2 HT

 

Header from Wilde to go 3-2 up to win the game.

 

Ware FC - Good team who matched and outplayed us at times.

 

Good comeback and let's see what happens on Saturday.

 

Liked the look of the free running Wallace. Seemed much better than playing as a target man who used to hold the ball up for ages.

good game tonight.... Adam, Stuart and Rudi all played well but think Fabio played best of all..set up two of the goals and worked his socks off...Ware were no push-overs and Saturday's game will be just as hard (if not harder) to win but i'm sure without the nightmare 15 minute opening period Town will be okay.

 

 

18 points off 9 games is brilliant....well done to all at the town!!!!!

 

 

One other point is that Whinging fan was cheering Adam Wallace's wonderful strike just before half time a week after barracking him with 'no...' 'go on......go!!' and ''wallace do someting" against Romford....

Well, that puts Wallace in the same bracket as Andy Pape and Keith Barrett among others. Exalted company.

An interesting game. Ware were a lot more difficult than many of us expected but how much did our grueling game on Saturday and their day off affect the game.

 

Saturday will be even more difficult. Adam showed his qualities perfectly last night. We need some strengthening at the back. Both of their goals came from defensive errors.

 

As for the penalty. Stuart was in front of the defender with the goal at his mercy. A photograph taken of the incident shows that he was being pulled down. I do not believe that Stuart in that situation would have let slip an opportunity to have a shot at goal. There should have also been a yellow card issued for the incident. Andy - the lino was nearer than you and he had no hesitation.

I don't see any contradition with someone venting their opinons when they don't feel a player is doing what he should be doing on the pitch,and then the next week praising him when he DOES perform.

If it was a boxing match after 15 minutes with us being knocked down twice and stumbling around with out a clue which planet we were on the referee would have stopped it to save us further punishment but thankfully the team showed it had the ability to get up off the floor and fight back, Well done but DON'T put us through that too often please!! :signthankspin:

November - Thamesmead home drew 2-2

August 2006 - Enfield home drew 2-2

 

Can't find a win tho other than FJ's....

I recall us turning round a 2-goal deficit at Saffron Walden back in the ESL days, a game that also contained the greatest save I have ever seen in almost 40 years of watching football.
