Hitchin tomorrow - directions

Chris

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

Have a possibly stupid question. Travelling to Hitchin tomorrow it's of course an M25 Jobby. Now at the moment when you get off the M4 onto the M25 they have the poxy 50mph signs with the roadworks.

So is there a way I can avoid this at this time of night. Is there an entrance to get on the M25 at Amersham for example where the M25 roadworks stop?

Thanks

(and sorry if it's a stupid question!)

Chris

I'm not sure about that, but I do know that if you just put the post code in your sat-nav, it will probably not take you to the ground.

I would suggest either putting the road name in as well, or pin point it on the sat-nav from a web site.

Check before you leave

Dont get on the M25 from the M4 at junction 15, go up to the M40 and then along to the M25 at junction 16 and although you will have to cue into the roadworks it is a lot shorter then sitting in the cue betewwen J15 & J16.

Once in the roadworks it usually moves!

The other alternative is go up the Uxbridge road (A412)to Denham, along the A40 to then rejoin the A412 to Maple Cross and Join the M25 at junction 17.

I think I might be starting to sound like a certain programme seller!
