I can't think of any MFC fan who wouldn't be delighted by this news.

I think these are very good appointments. For those of you who are new to the club, Cliff Egan was the very successful commercial manager at the club in the pre Chris Kinnear era and beyond. He then went to Stoke City as commercial manager and so, hopefully, he will be filling a vital gap that the club have been needing to fill for some time. I think he is also involved in the Superdraw which the club are involved in.

Richard was once the match announcer in that old Radio Hut (now runs the club shop,or used to anyway). One of the Rockin Royals no less & I believe an ex Chairman too. Open to correction on those. Gordon we all know from seasons gone by.

For someone not up to scratch on the history, can you ol' dinosaurs impart your knowledge to us lesser beings? :D

Did it come as a big surprise that new Directors were coming on board?

What do you think has brought about the new appointments and what will it truly mean for the club?

If you can give the history/potential and strengths etc of each singly - Mr. Cliff Egan, Mr. Richard Piper and Mr. Gordon Wallis - i'd be much obliged.

From experience, these meetings can sometimes be very quiet affairs, in that when the Chairman asks if there are any questions - there is often stony silence, the odd of ball tumbleweed and the chirrup of a cricket. Sadly, because I am working nights I cannot attend - so can someone ask a question for me?

" At the pre-season meeting Mr Piper announced that he had been asked by our Development Partners to source quotes/tenders for the building of the North Stand (CoffinEnd) which would incorporate a Bar, a new entrance to the 5-a-sides and Changing Rooms (see someone was listening). The question to him is, has he made any progress in this quest? If so, when can we expect work to start - if not, when does he expect to have news about this next stage of the Development?"
