Just to keep the post going and not to loose the message through the thread of the last post !

Part 2

After the STSA AGM , we were already showing splits in how we should tackle this on going problem ....

Just for note the Residents of Church Mews -Borderside - and Charles Gardens , all the properties that boarder this site are up in arms at the proposed school being sited where the council have indicated, They have back the plans for STFC's new development... STSA will be meeting with the residents committee on thursday 19th June, we expect a lot of their members also to be at the town hall on Monday 23rd June !

However to this weeks events....

16th June 2003 - Town Hall - vigil from 10am until 6pm

followed by meeting at Wexham Park at 7-30pm -

All invited including those who have a level head ...!!!!

We need to put the proper issues forward and not bring in the unwanted side of this dispute, created by the discision of the Council at this time....

We need to put the correct points and campaign on these !

MONDAY 16TH JUNE AT STFC - WEXHAM....

If the paper is right and the school wishes to work together then this option must be persude too...and we need to understand both side of the problem :

They wany a new school and the goverment grant of 6M will be lost !

And we need 12 acres of land as promised by Slough Council to fulfill the plans and asperations of the supporters of Slough Town FC and the people of Slough in gaining a first class sports facilties for all the people of Slough....

WE MUST TALK.......No other issues.....please....

Cheers Chris Sliski STSA

YES. Arrange something for a Saturday. I cannot do Monday the 16th due to work commitments and no I cannot just book the day off.

Football is played on a Saturday. We get three hundred fans on a Saturday. Fewer people work on a Saturday. We can make a bigger impact on a Saturday. So what if the council are not in session they will hear of it.

Although we'll be outside the Town Hall on the next two Monday's we will get a different audience in the High Street on a Saturday. That's why we need to do the Saturday as it will cover a lot more people who wont have seen us on the Monday's.

Providing we can get permission from the local Police, a hundred Slough fans in the High Street handing out leaflets etc. would achieve a lot.
