Blues v K's Tuesday

I'll assume that Dormer and Flack won't be involved, Sullivan will be and Macca is OK to play.

I'd go for:

Walker

Macca - Oates - Cousins - Dumas

Pond - Shinn - Manuella - Wareham

Bricknell - Sullivan

The resurrection starts here, 4-0 Blues!!!

Macca played central defence Sat..and id be surprised if Sullivan got the nod ahead of Baker seeing as he scored 2 goals, but then, who knows anymore. But this game is another biggie, and points are now essential if we are to stop the rot.

From the Ryman Bulletin:

KINGSTONIAN FC

Kingstonian Football Club have achieved a major coup by snapping up Bristol Rovers striker Ben Hunt on a month-long loan deal.

The pacy 19-year-old was expected to be included in the squad for Saturday's Ryman League Premier Division clash with Cray Wanderers at Kingsmeadow. He has made 13 appearances off the bench for League One Rovers since switching in summer 2008 from West Ham, whom he joined on schoolboy terms at age 11.

I would rather get Macca back in at centre back with Oates and have Pond and Cousins at full backs. That would make us much more solid, which due to our lack of goals has to be the big priority tonight.

It will be a big test and will be interesting to see who in the squad still has the b****cks for a fight.

In a perverse kind of way, tonights game is akin to a 4th round qualifying FA cup replay, where the winners get to travel to err Notts County  Its gonna be a nail biter - But regardless I too am looking forward to it.

Now then..."IF" we do win...Can we have some upbeat messages !

Come On Blues !

After being left feeling gutted that I had to sit tonights game out, I am somewhat heartend that I didn't waste my time, and shocked that Kingstonian (whose defensive record is apparently one of the worst in the league) were able to keep us at bay and managed to slide 5 past the mighty Walker.

I suppose after bashing Baker in my post the other day I should take solace (and eat a thin slither of humble pie) that he is now scoring goals in competitive games (small steps lead on to big things)

Come on Blues, what gives

I was so close to not bothering to go to tonight's game with results/performances as they've been recently.

Wish I hadn't, as it meant spending 2 hours in the cold, and £11 watching a 5-1 home defeat :( .

It was awful, just awful. The first half hour we looked ok, even if we didn't threaten their goal. Then after Kingstonian scored the penalty it turned into a nightmare. Aside from the consolation at the end, we didn't look like scoring and they just demolished us.

I know there's been calls for patience with a new manager and largely new team, but how long can we afford that... already at or close to the bottom of the table, no goalscoring threat, out of the FA Cup, long-serving key players requesting transfers and a mostly new team that clearly hasn't gelled. It's looking dire already.

What a difference a penalty can make - up until that clumsy challenge we were marginally the best side with bags of effort and perhaps unlucky to be losing at half time ( not that we had threatened their keeper)

But we were pretty dire in the second half and having sneaked out a couple of minutes before the end I even managed to miss a rare Billericay goal. Not a lot more to say really other than our supporters seemed to be more amused than angry at out inept performance, not a good sign.

Laughter...a tonic to lighten what else was a dark and dissapointing evening...it's that or crying and I just don't think I have the tears...

Still onwards and upwards...tomorrows another day and one step closer to Saturady and fresh hope...
