Mark Graham is a talented right winger with good dribbling and good crossing abilities. He was at Canvey for a couple of months and would walk into any other Ryman League side but unfortunately he had possibly the best right wingback in the Ryman League in John Kennedy in front of him.

He's a good signing for you and I seem to remember Matt Glynn scoring a free kick against us for Maidenhead.

I've attached a picture of Graham but he's hardly a looker although I don't know Claire!'s taste in blokes!!

So where do you think we will finish in the League next season?
It's got to be Canvey as favourites, don't you think?

Favourites for 2nd place, surely!

Hey YA, that picture is copyright you know!

I put it on our website from a full-size picture Ian took last season.

Could you just add © First Hosting to your post if not ask Admin to do it? I'm not knitpicking it's just something us webmasters like to do to our pictures & info.

Cheers,

Any views on Simon and Ryan?

It's got to be Canvey as favourites, don't you think? Bedford as a good outside bet?

My names not Mark, but I'll answer anyway , I did think we'd do pretty bad but I'm starting to change my mind, i think a midfield of Graham, Challinor, Glynn and Smith will be as good as any, we seem to be getting players into the problem areas, If we can keep Simon and pair him with McDonnell we'll be good up front as well, If Gledhill and Campbell can stay injury free, all we need is a new centre back and a left back. Keep the likes of Brown, Evans, Crawshaw, de Souza, Young, Naylor, Keen, Craig and Deacon as good squad players and we'll be OK. My main worry is if Cookie is the man for the job, he certainly didn't look it last season, but I'll give him a chance - his team, his assistant, may be different.

As for our transfer listed two, keep Simon and ditch Ryan.

I'd be very surpised if Canvey could [****!!****] it up three seasons in a row, I can't really comment on Bedford because I don't know who they signed, they finished the season well under thier new manager but even though they beat us at the park, I thought they looked rather average! I suppose Grays full time status and cash may help them!

Hornchurch will of course be relegated

The first season was down to our FA Trophy success though. If you remember that season didn't finish for some Clubs. Hendon finished two League games short, simply because their pitch is [censored] and all their games got cancelled.

We had 12 games in 13 days! Is that the price of success for winning a National Trophy?

Our League didn't care what their Clubs were doing otherwise they would've extended the season by a week. It wouldn't have made any difference on positions. Farnborough had already taken the title cause we f**ked up a Croydon after having played everynight the week before, (which included a trip to Basingstoke on the Sunday which took the piss and our game at Hampton cancelled, (again) cause of the weather!!!)

So out of all the seasons we've missed out that first one should've been ours!! We had some many games in hand going into the gauntlet!!!!

So I saw myself...That means that we beat the Title Contenders this season at home and lost away, (St. Albans)

Last season.... Winning at Gravesend away, after losing at home...

and the season before, winning at Farnborough away, after losing at home...

As for the wild card Aldershot who actually did take the title against everyones predictions and all the odds....Well we lost both of them games!

So who will beat us at home next year then as the season climaxes and we're in with a shout we beat the same team away but still come second to them and end up in the Alliance South!
