I'm sure they do M.B., but it does seem with some of the performances it does seem like they dont. Please dont take this as an attack on the team or on any of the players, but if you were looking in from outside, it does look that way sometimes.

It always confounds and indeed impresses me ,how so many people can apparently know how other people feel and care about things.

 

How exactly do people acquire this skill to know what others feel and how much they care just by looking at someone else. ?

 

When i am standing watching-normally emotionless-by the same token, others around me with this great gift apparently know what i am feeling.

Never ceases to amaze me-and just wish i was blessed with this same ability to know peoples 'inner feelings' and know who cares and who does'nt.

 

Perhaps someone could tell me the specifics that i should look for, to be able to differentiate between who cares and who does'nt

Well i for one know how gutted a large number of the players are after a bad game and indeed how much they care about the club simply by talking to them

Same here Beth but this has been mentioned before. Take Wayne after Canvey game he was absolutely gutted on coach on way home as he knew he hadn't performed as he did last season.

That was probally for 2 reasons

 

1) For the first time he saw Canvey Island in daylight and could not believe how much it resembled a Tasmanian pig farm on a good day.

2) He remembered that Phil D, Brickie and you were the entertainment on the coach back to Kent.

I have never claimed to know how the players feel or if they care about the club. I am in the position of being an ousider, not going to games, and following the team mostly from here and gate radio. I dont know the players, have never spoken to the players and indeed have never met the players.

I used to talk to the team sometimes when i first started going to Thanet United, when Norman Fusco was our captain and I was invited into the dressing room after the game twice as a kid looking for autographs.

My commments as such come from my position as an outsider and at times this season when the team play like they have never met before. Its at times like these that I have questioned commitment to Margate, but it is only questioning. I dont think I have ever said players dont care about playing for Margate, because I dont know if they do or not. I hope I have never caused offense to anyone with my comments as that was never my intention, but following Margate can be and frequently is a very frustrating life.

It wasn't you Fred, I believe it was another poster who said players don't care. I agree about the frustrating life following Margate look at Kingstonian game most people were on a high then a week later at Canvey we just didnt perform enough, as Jimmy Greaves says "It's a funny old game".

i worked as kit-man under rambo last season an dan stubbs was a character in the changing rooms he rallied the team and got them going, half time if we wernt doing so well he would get everybody heads up, he a great player and person on and off the pitch great if we do sign him after his trial.
