Well as friendlies go it was played at a fast pace and certainly very competetive. If there were awards for posession then i think we had more of the play. Baker scoring goals ! The first was one of those where the goalkeeper wasnt sure whether to come or go and left Baker with a simple run in to an empty net, mind you the defender nearly got to him. His second was a case of firing into roof of net just inside six yard box. Overall especially in the second half we played some neat football, but it still frustrates me a little that we do not have that final ball. Thought Chatting had a decent performance again and cannot be far off staking a regular first teasm place. There are signs the team are gelling as some of the passing is good, it is just the putting the ball in the net department we still need some (confidence) with.

 

Overall, an entertaining game which i enjoyed.

No McMahon did not play...they had the same keeper as the friendly game earlier in season. Game did play.

 

Must admit first time been back to Braintree for years (obviously) and whats with those flats all of a sudden ! i was wondering where the entrance was !

Good to see you all again at Cressing Road on Saturday. I thought it was a good competitive game and was useful to both managers. Best of luck for the rest of the season.

 

Keith, yep we've had to make a few changes to accommodate the B grading requirements. We're now looking at the A grading which is ridiculously expensive, but there you go ...
