Hornchurch fielded a strong team and it showed, but Redbridge never gave up, a good show on their part.

Sad part was that Jon Green clashed with their goalkeeper in the first min and had to be stretchered off

and taken to hospital..............lets hope he is ok.

It looked to be a very serious injury as Jon collided heavily with the Redbridge goalkeeper in the first ten seconds of the match.

 

He had twelve stitches in his chin and has left hospital.

 

At the time there was a lot of concern that he had a severe whiplash injury to his neck, and it was all the more worrying as the ambulance - due to being misinformed as to the severity of the injury - took over thirty minutes to arrive. (Calls are prioritised and the first caller did not say that Jon was unconscious nor that it was a possible neck injury).

 

It took a second call by Jon's father to speed things up.
