oh bugger! so who does that leave us in goal then??? krunic??? if its true that alliston has been released, and nicholls too - even tho they are both injured??

 

makes it all the more stupider releasing pat doesnt it??????

To be fair M.B. at the time pat was released, we had both Nicholls and Anderson, and the club is definately not big enough to have 3 first team keepers. With respect to the club, the release of Nicholls did not happen until the club thought they had Andersons name on a contract, although maybe they should have had a signed contract in their hands before releasing him.

 

In my opinion though do we really want a keeper who would rather sit on a bench as a substitute keeper rather than playing regular first team football? Might be just me but I would have thought if you were 18 and wanting to make the big time, surely you are better off playing and getting experience rather than bench warming? Can you truly say substitute keeper at grays looks better on a c.v. than playing every week in Ryman Premier?

I have full confidence in the club and in Big Nev to be working on this problem and I'm sure there will be a decent keeper in goal on Saturday even if it is just a short term loan until a more permanant deal is sorted out. As I have said before if Nevile Southall cant spot a decent Keeper no one can.
