I'm off for 26 minutes and all of a sudden we've got 600 new forums, Aylesbury have no sense of humour, EFMTFTV is still with Danni (I thought it was a one-nighter??), Zeal's off home again, UU's up to his old tricks, CANV's as slow as ever, AFF's quiet, Laz is telling all and sundry how to spoke correct Englandish, and Ivasion Thursday is on the rocks...

Ah, GHA. Just the man. EFM (if that is still the name) training starts this Sunday, 12.00 meeting outside the entrance to the athletics track at westminster lodge, if you're interested. Just a light run out, because quite a few people are away. Registration is a tenner before the end of June, £15 afterwards - check out the original EFM site for full details on fees for next season.

I got in early on the Ducks channel but it had all gone this morning so the writing was on the wall for you Guys..... <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" />

 

switched to the 'know it all' channel and managed to ruffle a few feathers there but a lot of little duckies use it so they obviously all emailed each other and didn't bite..... <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" />

 

well not to much.....half of it got deleted....the good stuff....urchino had verbals on the air with the admin ....and now its all gorn quiet....... <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />

 

I dunno....things aint what they used to be..... <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

 

I hammered that lot in the winter and they were biting like marlin..... <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Oi trev. What exactly is a 'light run out?' Being brought up on rugby for the past 11 years, I've never had a 'light run out.'

Already seen the EFM website. Someone wants to sort out the message board if possible, unmoderate it etc.

When's the first matches etc?

Subject to money in the bank to book pitches, the first friendly will be at the beginning of July. First League match is against Marshalwick Rovers on 31st August.

 

I am unable to unmoderate the EFM board - it was done by intheteam. I do try and check it every day, but it's pretty quiet on the whole.

By the way, with reference to the EFM name...

 

Herts County FA rules state that, having already given in our registration forms, we are now unable to change the club's name until next summer regardless of what anybody wants.

 

I would have thought that any decision about that ultimately lies with the owner of the name who is, to the best of my knowledge, Costello. I shall call him tonight and get his thoughts on the subject.

 

Has nobody considered playing friendlies against other teams' supporters? I can get pitches quite easily if there's enough interest. There could even be a little mini-league, if enough sets of supporters expressed an interest.

Poor lovelorn GHA...

 

I feel as if I've heard the "EFM isn't fun any more" rant so many times that it just goes in one ear and out of the other.

 

Playing matches against other supporters teams on Saturday mornings or lunchtimes seems like an ideal solution to me - question is: would we be able to raise a team?
