St Mags (2002-03) and WGC (2005-6) both got to Q3. I haven't got any easily available info earlier than 2002.

... had a quick scan through FCHD for current/recent Premier clubs and didn't find any more getting further than Q3 - though St Mags have managed it twice (FCHD states in 01-02 they lost to Stafford & 03-04 lost to Kettering - in 02-03 it claims they were beaten by Arlesey in Q1)

Some have even got as far as a Q3 replay - Brimsdown & Hoddy BUT both much further back as Spartan league teams in 91-2 and 69-70 respectively!

You are correct - I got the date wrong - it was late!

But we haven't had an opinion from Rhodes yet, bet he can remember something, or will probably inform us that in 1652 he was manager of his local Co-Op team who played in the Village Idiot Sunday League and they reached the FA Cup Final beating all the mighty before them, he did too have the evidence but burnt it unfortunately in the Great Fire Of Haringey.

We (Ruislip Manor) got to the 4th Qual in the early 90's losing out to Halesowen 5-2 away, having beaten both Wealdstone and Hendon on route. Mind you we weren't a SSML team at that time.

Then somehow this thread don't count, if you weren't a SSML side then and are not now then where is the relevance?

I think Aylesbury are more than capable of reaching the First Round proper if they can beat Chesham and then get a decent home draw in the 4th Qualifying Round, even if they get a Conference South or Ryman Premier Club at Haywood Way they can spring a surprise as was the case against Wingate & Finchley but a Conference side may be a bridge too far

... well in that case could you count Hillingdon Boro [more eligible than RM - in the example above - as they ARE SSML now] - actually played 11 FA Cup ties in 69-70 and were beaten in a Third Round proper replay by Sutton Utd. Beat Wimbledon and Luton on the way.

Trouble was they did this as a Southern League Premier side - in the days when it was probably the equivalent of STEP01 ??

... oh and excellent spot by AWK on the Barton Rovers thingy - didn't think to look at ex-SSM clubs - don't really know enough about them.

If you go that far then it's a bit like saying the MK Dons won the FA Cup itself in 1988 v Liverpool, as that don't count then don't think the Hillingdon one would somehow, think the thread was started in clubs that WERE SSML sides at the time, but then you all knew that anyway.
