I am going to put my head on the line and say i will be very upset if NEV is not given his chance. My faith in the decision making process at the Club would be severely tested. I think we are at a point know where so much is going on/ coming together that it would be Nye on criminal to change it for the unknown. Do people not realise what a figure BIG NEV is in the dressing room, how much the players want to play for him, what influence his name carries in the game. "What a benefit he is for the Club".

Nev as been around local Non league long enough now to know it, he as contacts at all levels.

You talk to people from all walks of life, from all over the country as i do, as a taxi driver. You talk about Football, who you and they support? they say "Margate, whose the manager these days" I say "Neville Southall", everyone to a man knows who he is, the conversation with older ones especialy usually turns from whats he doing at little Margate to a game they saw at where ever.

The man put the L in Legend, Stop wasting time with interviews, give him the Job.

Well said Graeme, am sure he has learnt from his past mistakes and I know for a fact he would love to do the job as a permanent manager and so far so good for him results wise and getting players in.

As an Evertonian, I'd love Nev to get the job. But, I think Keith is doing absolutely the right thing in speaking to a number of candidates. He needs to satisfy himself that whoever gets the job understands the local and non-league scene at our level. That may well ultimately prove to be Nev, or another candidate.

There may well be Derek but KP is still there also. Am sure Big Nev is still looking to improve the squad which given the managers job I know he will do.

I have been supporting Big Nev for the job since the day T.Y. left, but I also understand that A) the club want to look for the best man for the job and B) I think by law the job has to be advertised and the position filled through a proper interview process by law these days, its not as simple as just promoting through the ranks anymore.

Cue everyone proving me wrong now lol.
