it isnt.. but it was a fave place with the romans for those salt plain things .. there is tons of roman stuff in the estuary of canvey.. i reckon if you picked it all up you would have enough to make a st albans or colchester.. plus it obscures the golden sand beaches underneath it all...not that im bored or anything..
