FA VASE SECOND ROUND PROPER DRAW

Recommended Posts

Saturday 14th November 2009

Tiptree United v Cogenhoe United (UCL)

Cambridge Regional College (ECL) v Enfield ( 1893 ) Sunday 15th Nov 2pm

Felixstowe & Walton Utd (ECL) or Long Buckby (UCL) v Stansted

It seems like another good home draw for the jam-makers.Can they repeat the 2002 run of Farley's boys and go all the way?

Is Cogenhoe a good side?

Coach, the JamMakers themselves made it to the Vase final as a Ridgeons club. Can't remember what year. Lost at Villa Park. I went as a neutral. They upset the applecart by beating heavy weights of the Ridgeons League at the time AFC Sudbury in the semi finals.

I had their then manager Neil Ferlie and one of their players Dave Streetley on the same level 3 course at Writtle and Neil was turning up with a club's car sponsored by their web-site TiptreeUtd.co.uk or something similar.Good chap that Neil. They beat Sudbury in the semi 2-0 away and drew 0-0 at home in front of nearly 2000 crowd.

Dave is doing really well for himself in management 3 promotions on the spin, from Essex Womens Div.3 to the Eastern Counties Division with Braintree Ladies. Yes Neil comes with a good reputation at this level.
