u15's go top of Kent league

the go between

Recommended Posts

the under 15's strode to the top of the Kent Youth League table today with a resounding 9-0 victory over Norton Sports . 3 goals from Tre' Mitford , 2 from Connor Lintott and one each from Ryan Freedman , Shane Mitchell , Daniel Gregory-Davis and Nick Symaka sealed the 3 points ( the last named scoring for only the second time in 8 years ) . It was a great all round team performance admittedly against a side who are finding the elevation to the MUSH league a difficult experience . For the second time in 4 league games there were 6 different names on our scoresheet so we certainly dont appear to have one dimensional look to us and the 19 man squad are all maintaing a high level of performance and therefore competition for places is very strong.

Norton kept trying to play football but the fact that their keeper as well as conceeding nine also made 5 or 6 great saves shows the balance of play .

next we are away to Herne bay who are a very strong side moulded out of the best of last years H.Bay and Whitstable Town sides and will be a big test for the new league leaders,

Todays Squad was Josh Mattless , Daniel Osgood , James Olver , Ollie Sharpe , Nick Symaka , Ryan Freedman , Alex Miles (Captain) , Sam Reeves , Connor Armstrong , Connor Lintott , Shane Mitchell , Tre' Mitford , Callum Brooman and Daniel and Jamie Gregory-Davis .

Also at present we have 3 lads on the injured list with Harvey Colston and Connor Barham hopefully fit again this week but Logan Pugh's groin will take a bit longer and Josh Twyman wha has just joined from Ramsgate will be registered and available in the next week or two .

thats great to hear!!! fantastic news :)

The U12 A side did well in their cup match today against Sturry Colts - were 3-1 at half time and then the home side pulled 2 back (one was definately off side!!) lol

Match went to penalties and our boys did fantastically well going through to the next round 4-1 - special mention has to go to our keeper Lewis Burke who was definately a star and managed to keep his cool

xx

As always really pleased to hear about the youngsters and delighted that they are playing so well. Its good to be able to look at the top of the table for Margate not the bottom hehehehe. Very pleased for the lads all through the youth side well done to all players and coaches.
