Much, much better

The second half was probably the most exciting we have seen at Hartsdown all season. With 5 mins left I thought to myself that even if it finished 1-1 or even if they nicked it I would not be overly disappointed as it was a much better performance. Then we get the late winner and it is the happiest I have left there in ages.

Can't believe I am the first to post about it 45 minutes after the final whistle though!

An even game really but we upped the anti in the second part of the second half. Introduction of Sammy Cliffe made a difference

How on earth Wilson kicked over from 3 yrds is a mystery.Still, a good cross from Lacey & there was Blackman prodding the ball over fron 1 yd after a good save from their keeper.

Most hilarios bit was Duku & another of his collegues squaring up to each other after our second.

New guys did well. Akwasi in particular impressed. French guy did fine, especially when switched inside. Dare I say it, yes I damn well will. Lewis had a cracker at the back,as did Harwood.

I can't recall our keeper making a save all game.(definately not in the second half).. Yes,he picked a screamer out of the back of net but they didn't threaten really despite having their fair share of possession.Oh yes & they had an exceptionally good chance to go ahead earlier when they hit the post when a goal was looking odds on.

Kingstonian were a decent side but we were equal to them today & on the few chances that were, we edged it & probably deserved the win. Well done all those out there. Good effort & result.

Cracker?? That's a bit generous...

To be fair, he has improved over the last couple of games, and he didn't make nearly as many mistakes today, but I can't see him keeping his place in the team when Young's back...

Fantastic result.

well done.

You guys at the game must have been ecstatic when the second went in-would love to have seen the players celebrations.

Hopefuly one or two may take the trouble to give a few impressions-particularly interested in how the new guys performed.

Did we look stronger in central midfield-or was Wilson having to run central midfield all on his own again ?

Wilson i.m.o. is still not on song Michael. Missed a sitter (easier to score than miss) but he really tried hard today. Lots of work done there by Healey who got in amongst almost everything. Grafted all afternoon.Wilson will come good though I'm sure of it & when he does this team is going to get some good results when we least expect them. Neville has some good options now all round.

I didn't see much of Jeremy. Jermy was pretty good...

Was expecting more from him going by reports prior to the game Stuy but its his first game & he does look the part. Needs to stay wide more often rather than straying into midfield. The other newbies impressed me more but overall they all did good.

Charlie's a 21 year old left back from the reserves, Michael.

Much better performance today, although still work to be done. We looked a bit suspect at the back, and Ben Lewis for me lacks the mobility we need back there. As soon as Young is fit he will slot back in there I hope.

Sam Cliff and Joe Taylor made the difference when they came off the bench. Sam in particular with the superb cross-field ball leading to the winner.

Great scenes at the end, shows how much it meant to the lads to get the win at home.
