Erm, I think 'the real ssml' people (sic) are a smashing bunch, but they can be a bit shy at times.

 

In truth Loose me old mucker I think the general feeling at the time was you'd never get admitted and the collective sigh of told you so must have been audible on the dark side of the moon. No gloating, no animosity, just a touch of why did you do it the way you did it. Have a pop at me for me being honest about it, but there it is. The biggin' it up on here and 'Kempsters' didn't help your cause one jot with the proles. Right or wrong that's the truth.

I understand and agree in a way with part of what you are saying but that problem hasn't existed for a long time, in fact since before we started Pre-Seasons.

 

If my responses at the time were genuinely taken for arrogance then I can only claim that when questionned on a "Back-Up Plan" personally I considered it the height of being impolite to discuss one but rest assured the hints were taken. We benefitted from the hint and took steps accordingly, not quite the desperate last minute plea to Beds that our Cliffy would constantly like to promote.

 

Having said that, for the moment we couldn't be happier, we have started our playing, we have nothing but respect for the League Committee and our competition. One day, Bismillah, we may come cap in hand again, with respect.

Boys, boys boys, Cliff can't even answer a simple question as to who the new Tik Tok manager is, and wasn't it HE who bigged up the interest in the post.
