Yep, agree as well they are firm favourites and they will also be delighted with the draw. Could have been worse and got a conny south side, or Farnborough, Truro or Dartford. Would have been even happier was it a home draw.

 

Nice new ground to visit as well.

Could have been worse as mentioned but at the same time we will need to up the performance to beat them.

 

Hopefully having at least 1 fit winger should help.

I'm quite happy with that draw. We've already beaten a team from a league above and there's no reason if we play to our best we can get a result at Tooting. They also have a very nice new stadium with covered terracing behind both goals and I'd like to think Slough would take around 150-200 there.

Your happy Glen because you don't have to produce another programme! They do have a good set up, apart from the clubhouse, and it is winnable.

Well yes Warren there is also that little matter of not having to produce a programme (unless we draw, although like Hemel I'll be happy to!). So what's up with their clubhouse? You're right Chris we're now a good team and hard to beat so if Tooting underestimate us then they could be in for a surprise.

It's cramped, stuffy with a slow service and no day light either. Admitedly that was a couple of years back, but it just seemed to be a bit strange since their ground is pretty good. There's lots of different sports clubs based there as well, all using the clubhouse, and the clubhouse is where you can make a decent amount of money from so seems obvious to make it a pleasant place to be. Maybe it was designed by a tee-totaller?

It was the last time we played, in Ryman Div 1 South - so Jan/Feb 2004 I think

wasnt it the game where the ref got injured at 0-0 and then the guy from the paper was qualified and an aldershot fan so took one of the lines whilst the linesman replaced the ref.

 

This was with about 15 to go and then we won 2-0.

That was the home game Mark. Now I think of it, the away game was October 2003, Slough won 2-0 with Steve Daly scoring an overhead kick

Lot of familiar faces in their line-up's who were faced on many an occassion in the Ryman league. A lot of ex Carshalton players I recognise as well as striker Simon Parker.

I remember the home game well. It was Tom's first go at being mascot with loads of his friends there. We had a penalty shoot out with loads of 6 year olds in a hail storm at half time.
