Thanks Steve. And heres a report from Hornchurch a perspective.(link below)

NB the very bottom line. Way out i.m.o.

They only had two efforts on goal all second half (both headers as far as I can recall) & as Steves report shows it wasn't until late in that second half (43 rd minute) that they actually got one of those an efforts in on our goal..Did our keeper actually have a save to make all game?

Okay our chances were few & far between too but I think he's got that bottom line wrong somehow. Still, suppose it might have been said tongue-in-cheek perhaps which would explain it.

A game of two relegation sides yesterday as I saw it. Add Cray & Horsham (who I have seen) & we must surely all be in the mix for a relegation tussle later (unless teams improve of course).

Those not getting favourable results that I haven't witnessed are Bognor,Waltham Abbey & Billericay, who all seem to be making heavy weather of things too so I make that 7 teams who at this time are as bad as each other.

Shame we couldn't bury Hornchurch yesterday as that must be the poorest Hornchurch side I have seen for a long while. (no disrespect meant chaps)

6 pointers v Cray,Horsham & Hornchurch only produced 1 point & opportunities like that will be rued come the seasons end.

Still,we ARE getting things together as I'm sure some of those others will improve too no doubt. We all HAVE to lets face it.

I read Smith was substituted quite early-was that tactical or for injury ?

No-one has mentioned Kiteley much.

One assumes on a ( months ? ) loan. (is there a minimum period you can loan somebody for ?

Does anyone know where he is from-a new name for me ?

For me as ever, whilst it seems just about a par performance,i feel with an extra centre midfield player, the team would achieve so much more by having more possession.

looking at the line up, (and appreciating i am exaggerating for effect ) it seems we have a team of defenders and forwards and just wilson as a midfield player.

Are we playing 1-4-1-4 ?

'Urchins had done more than enough to have won comfortably' it says.

How do you win comfortably without having a shot at goal all game?

My point exactly Chris. It must be his his version of humour thats all I can think of.

All I could find about Kiteley was that he's was with Stotfold Junior Football Club as a youth and then played for Caldecote in Befordshire and also for the Befordshire Football League representative side during 08/09 and 09/10. When I looked him up I was expecting something suggesting some kind of link with one of our players but how he's ended up with us is a total mystery to me. Bedfordshire's not an area we tend to pick players up from and he only seems to have played at County League level so how we got to hear about him is hard to fathom.

Yes Gareth, "Urchins looked dominant" another typical example :409: :97:

Unintentionally he has actuallty taken the p*** out of his own players performance yesterday with some of those comical comments. :97:

However, maybe that was his intention anyway.

Cookie is right, it's the legendary Dagger's sense of humour. Always manages to upset a few with his 'tongue in cheek' reports, but well worth the read if you can handle it :D

Saddest thing about the report is really the visitors' view of Margate!

Wish I had listened to the game from the daggers match report rather than the one I heard on gate radio. More goalmouth action in the first 20 minutes than I heard in 90 minutes of our game lol.

it seems we have a team of defenders and forwards and just wilson as a midfield player."

I believe Keisters a midfielder really along with Healy, Cliffe, Millington and Lawrence.

Though i think its an exaggeration to describe Wilson as any sort of player at the moment!!!

technically, you are of course correct Brickie, and maybe i ought to have qualified my post by adding central midfield players; but as i see it :

Keister-needed to hold the defence together

healey-more of a 'in the hole-deep lying forward'

Cliffe-plays wide

Millington-is he still involved .Has he got the quality ?

Lawrence-spot on but injured (will he stay with TY gone )

Does'nt leave alot as i suggested .

We do of course have Morris to come back who can do a holding job in midfield

Wilson-coming back to form, and form is temporary, class is permanent.

Is one of the reasons he is a bit below par because he needs someone alongside him to help and protect him to enable him to be more of a playmaker ?

In summmary-i still think central midfield/'engine room' is a problem area. Its where you dictate the game from;and without the numbers and quality-we can't dictate the game

Keister IS missed in midfield but as you say Michael he's needed to sweep up those errors at the back & oh how well he's doing it too. We will miss him next week but who can do his duties? I can't think of anyone,(oh maybe Curtis perhaps). So next week we'll be playing without a sweeper I guess.Shame because we were on a roll (not a massive one admittedly but one nevertheless).

It is meant to be tongue in cheek. I think we all know that the game was quite tight. I think your guys edged it on the day (glad the pen didn't go in!).

All the best for the rest of the season (well except when you come up to our place).
