I'm not sure how a winger/wide player would fit into the way we're playing at the moment (not that I'm saying that we can't change it), but we seem to play a back four, three central midfielders, and Valenti just behind the two forwards. I'm not saying that we shouldn't play with width, just that we don't seem to play that formation at the moment.

 

As a side point, does anyone know what's happened to Darrell Ellams? I don't think Ross Edwards did badly at left back on Saturday, but as far as I can tell, he's a centre half primarily (and a good one at that).

We used to have a good able winger who left because he appeared to be frozen out following injury.

 

I am talking about Michael Deane.

 

Good call Steph, I was asking about him a few weeks ago, where is he now?

 

After the injury he seemed a bit reluctant to take defences on, which is understandable after a lay off but still enjoyed his pace.

Tricky winger who can scare defenses..The best i've seen at this level is Ian Cooper.....

 

Agree 100% would love to see him back in a Town shirt, where is he these days?

Just a few, never understand why a player of Stevenson's ability is playing for Brimmo. He was in conference south 2 seasons back for St Albans and is still only 26 (i think)

Despite both being hot headed,i would have stevenson and Cooper in my team any day of the week..Also agree it was a pity we didn't hold onto Michael Deane.

Still think we should get a new face not a new old face....... Search the lower leagues (essex senior, ssml, combined counites etc) for an up and coming player who may jump at the chance to play at a higher level in front of a few supporters.

Anyone can bang on about this player or that player should be here or why are they released by the management but we don't know the reasoning behind the managers decission or even the personal view and circumstances of the player in question.
