lost 3-2, after being 2 0 down is very disappointing. to be honest we were never in it though, and played very badly first half. no creativity at all.

could have equalised again right at the end, but that woudl have been highway robbery

i bet walton now pull a really big team out of the hat. now to concentrate on the league (and trohpy), but we coudl have done with the win bonus.

good suport for the lads, and a decent crowd.

I echo Scoreline's and Enfield_Paul's comments.. Gutted we're out of the cup but to have three attempts on target in a match tell's a story..A bad day at the office for the Town... Not even Sausage in batter and chips has cheered me up from my FA Cup depression..

I think we need a tricky speedy little winger in the team.... a player which will worry defenders when he runs at them.. A creative sparky player..

Here's to trophy glory next week although Eastbourne Town picked up first win of the season 1-0 away from home today...

report of the cold end now with match footage (Rudi's pen and wildly's header at the end)

good luck to W&H...knowing our luck they'll get through to the 1st round proper now and beat Leeds United at Elland Road

Beer and Match of the day now to lift me from this gloomy mood

also, the team is coming together but we need to seriously sort out the midfield and more specifically centrally. Still carrying too much deadwood. We need 2 fit, strong, hard and committed footballers to fill those roles.

Coming together? They looked miles apart yesterday. Our performance in the first half was poor and the second half not that much better. Shots on target - very few. Shots - few.

W and H appeared to have so much space all over the park. They passed it around whilst we were content, in the first half, to just hoof it in the air. Penalties - soft. Equaliser - showed that W and H could let goals in. Winning goal - what a place to give a free kick away!

Not an impressive performance all round.

Prior to yesterday's game they looked like they were coming together, and yes I agree there was nothing yesterday to write home about. Very , very poor indeed. Hopefully it was just an off day and can bounce back in the next game.

We must remember that Steve and Del have only been in charge for 3 months (ish) and the team are a work in progress. I'm very happy with the season so far. As people have stated yesterday was an off day hopefully..... It's certainly been 100% better than last years start, I felt gutted yesterday but not half as gutted than at Hillingdon last year in the FA Cup.

The players to bring suggested like Luke and the youth teamers in are known to Town fans....Would it not be a better idea to go with a new face, someone unknown that will help the team progress and give us a bit of width across the midfield and beyond. Someone to freshen things up a bit??

Lowestoft are looking very strong and may well run away with the league title (with their crowds not surprised) but I'm sure Town will be there or thereabouts in the play offs should our league form continue..

Come on Town!!

I was at the game yesterday and after the first half performance i thought we would of needed a miracle to get anything out of the game but fair play to the boys they got it back and looked a different side in the second half and the free kick that won it was worthy of winning any game.

hard luck with a few decisions from the poor officials and ive never seen a player speak to a lino like there forward did !!

i thought the defense even though they let 3 in did ok, Dave Blower i thought was steady and but Stuart Blackburne looked out of sorts and i heard in the bar he was ill on the way to the game so should he have started ???

the lads gave there all in the second half and the support was deafening well done on your part to the fellow supporters ! any views on the other performances??

Safehands.

Up the Town !!

No complaints at all with the result as it was a fair out come but the player who scored the free kick should not have been on the pitch as he left it with an injury and only rejoined the game ahead of play during the attack. He should have been booked and not allowed back on until play had restarted. Very poor from the Referee's Assistant.

I agree with thecoldend and my recommendation of someone to fill the "tricky winger" position would be Nathan Duck...plays with Jason and Anthony in the u18's/reserves (which I am sure you are aware of anyway)

Luke Marshall?

After the steps forward the club have made, do we really want to go back.....again?

Too lightweight in my eyes I'm afraid.

Oh and I dont think I can handle another season of his old man wandering around the pitch whinging when he's not picked in the first eleven! :cheesy (2):

Tricky winger who can scare defenses..The best i've seen at this level is Ian Cooper.Ok he had his faults off the pitch but his perfomances more than made up for it.Although i know Steph will disagree slightly with that statement.

The type of player who can only be enjoyed by fans of the current team that he is playing for!!
