First - good luck to Chesham..On the day i think their players wanted it more (which hurts). It was not so much the defeat that hurt but the manner of it (imo). We sat back in the second half and basically invited them onto us, in fact i lost count of the times when we just kicked the ball up the park straight into their throats. There also seemed a huge gap between the midfield and the attack, and that just allowed Chesham the space to effectively walk through us...I am not a believer in winning every game but i am a believer in the players we had out there busting a gut for the cause, and to me that hurt...I also feel sorry for the folk from chairman to all the loyal band of "volunteer" folk who give so much for this club. Those people, AND the fans who turned up desrved a better "performance", and as i said at the beginning "I dont mind losing, it is just the manner of defeat that hurt"

Andy Walker saved us from a near on embarrasment with 4 massive saves.

Once again, good luck Chesham.

IMO you are being too harsh on the midfield - we have a left midfielder who has speed and can cross the ball, and our two centre midfielders are more than capable of getting forward. Unfortunately because the back four tend to sit deep the midfield are pulled back and when they move forward if one of the four is not working as efficiently or as hard as the others then the move invariably will break down. Also I believe that we are creating chances and there are plenty of balls into the box but no one appears to want to attack that final delivery.

I believe we do have the makings of a good team, however we seem to lack confidence in our own ability and just need that lucky break to set us on our way.

Enough is enough, changes in player personnel must happen now. I am not calling for Stathams head but the buck stops with him and yesterday was a massive disappointment for all associated with the club. If it wasn't for Walker we could have lost several more goals, a similar story week in week out.

We have a sprinkling of good players but also some real dross. Why the manager continues to show faith in certain players when it is clear that they are not good enough and have no interest in playing for the club is a massive worry. The lack of quality available to bring on to change a game is a big worry and the two late substitutions yesterday showed that complete lack of quality.

Why the manager doesn't give Chatting a run out is still a mystery especially when you see the lack of quality in the crossing department.

Fair play to Chesham, they took the game to us and I wish them all the best in the competition, the best team won on the day.

On a bright note I thought Billy and Flack played well, noting their lack of support and two goals, christ I almost thought we were going to get a result!!!

Like you all are, after reading your reports on yesterday's performance, I too am now getting concerned and annoyed at the lack of progress. With what sounds like a very large away following the players should have played their hearts out and this disappoints me to hear otherwise. I take the point about the lack of forward play from the midfield. We have lost 3 league games, but drawn five. We need players who are going to get forward and I think most of our midfield are what I would think of as defensive minded. Baker I don't rate and so that leaves us with effectively Flack and Billy to get our goals. The Play Offs seem a long dream away at this moment in time. A shame I couldn't make the game yesterday, but I had a very enjoyable time at my Brothers Stag do instead.

The majority of our team, have talent, but they are slow! And it is ok having talent, aslong as you apply it when it should be applied, but some of the players just looked out of breath and looked like they had given up halfway through the second half.

A lot of the time, to break down teams or defences, high tempo and speed is required, any defence hates speed, but we have no speed, which could be why we find it hard to break teams down. On the wings we have Wareham who has speed, but sometimes his crosses can let him down, Chatting who has pace and can produce good crosses but is always left on the bench, and sullivan and Knight who can't beat a defence.

I agree with Patriot, I am not saying that Statham should go, but I think he needs to start looking at some new players with pace, in all areas of the pitch, especially on the wings.

The worrying thing is, apart from Tonbridge, we havn''t played any good/top of the table teams yet like Dartford, Sutton, even Canvey!

Sullivan should be quick enough, but always seems to lack the confidence to me to take people on. Knight I expected more from.

To be honest I think this run of form is all my fault. I moved to Billericay 10 years ago and started going to watch the team straight away. I think I have cursed the team. The only two good seasons we have had in the last 10 years was when I got a job in Romania. I think you need to ban me from attending games or send me to Canvey or Chelmsford!

I reckon Ryan's hit the nail on the head. A central midfielder and a couple of wingers (not whingers!)

Shinn and Dormer are both good footballers but are too similar to be an effective partnership. We need some energy in there...now where is that Shave bloke?

If Sullivan gets another game then I reckon Gazza should eat his hat and Spencer seems to be going backwards unfortunately. Dave Wareham is a good lad and at least he's putting in the effort but he's still a bit hit or miss for me.

For the most part our defence has been solid and I still believe that we have three forwards who all offer something different and who are all good enough to do well at this level.

I do hope we can sort out any issues quickly though. It seems to me that the supporters are already fearful of a third pony season on the trot. Pony..trot..geddit?

Come on you Blues....please?
