Chesham United 4-2 Billericay Town

I thought I heard 422 for the gate today.

It seems we contrive to lose whatever the situation.

Winning is hard, losing is easy.

We think we've got some decent players

But something is going wrong somewhere and needs to be sorted quickly.

Not HP.

I just can't see us winning, when we dont score we let in 1, when we score we still concede more than what we score!! Something needs to change, and fast. I don't really get annoyed about losing anymore, but today hurt, and it was really hard to accept. It's going to be a long season by the looks of it.

To be honest, it's begining not to hurt to lose or play badly...it's becoming the status quo. If I was to get annoyed it would about a certain players lack of commitment whne he came on in the second half...but hey ho...doesn't change the result. Maybe, after a good nights sleep, I'll feel better about things in the morning.

And yes, I am more than aware of one of Status Quo's songs is called "Down Down" (before any smart [****!!****] points it out)..

True, true...or maybe "Roll Over, Lay Down"

And no, I don't feel any better... I can't get this nagging doubt out of my mind that, although we have better players than last season, we're missing something...and a couple just don't want to put themselves out. I don't feel angry or upset, I just feel weary.

If you read the Bucks Examiner article by following the helpful link posted nine hours ago by Andy P, an outsider could easily get the impression things weren't quite as grim as some think.....

...on the other hand the facts talk for themselves and change - though not necessarily in personnel - is needed. If you are looking at this post though for an answer, you'll be disappointed as I've no idea how to turn a promising combination into a match-winning force. Those with long memories though will know that FAC defeat can be a catalyst for change.

Funny that you mentioned that because someone else said those very same words to me yesterday. Wonder if it was indeed you hatricay?

I thought it was a fair game at 2-2 but they started playing as a unit and that for me is the difference over that last few games. I'm not sure what was going on in the managers head to bring on our last sub (nor do i want to know) but a fresh pair of legs he was not. Our Keeper was MOTM for me some stunning saves and kept the score line almost respectable.

We really need to sort out this whole HeyBTFC situation.

Good luck to Chesham United I hope they do well now that they brushed us aside.

Back to the League now chaps and let's be doing it for the badge.

Disappointed yet again, there were times when I thought we were getting the better of them, the first 15 or 20 minutes of the second half at 2 all we were there camped in their goal, but then let it go and sat back in our own half with the odd attacking break, you could just feel we were losing momentum and the team was not playing as a team.

Great support from our fans, over two hundred made the effort to go to Chesham, I don’t think the team made as much commitment.

Good luck to Chesham.

I am starting to question things, ok so we can now concentrate on the league where we are still 3rd from bottom, if we don’t win next Saturday ????????????????

Disappointment is always around the corner following this club, and yesterday came as no shock at being turned over by 'supposed' lower league opposition. Chesham were the better side and deservedly take their place in tomorrow's draw. I don't subscribe to the 'it'll come good / things will get better theory,' we need to change it now. IMO we need left/right midfielders with pace and an ability to cross the ball and a central midfielder capable of getting forward and chipping in with a few goals. When was the last time we had one of those? Until we change, it'll be the same [****!!****] next week. My pre-season optimism has been smashed and if we don't take 6 points from our next two home games, then it looks like being a very long season yet again.
