Slough Town 2-0 Concord Rangers

Professional performance from a Slough side missing a couple of key players. Far from our best performance of the season, and you could argue that Concord were the better footballing side, but this team are hard to beat, well organised and a good side - something we have not had in many seasons. We'll play better, but the results the important thing.

Over the last two games the opposition have hardly had a shot on target. Also well done to Jacko for the penalty save, was a bit suprised Perks did not come straight back in, but Bates decision was proved to be right. Bowden-Hasse and Edwards were excellent today I thought.

Well done Rebels!

Another Cup win against a team who need to sack their manager as it was him who let them down.

Workman like from Slough, with Hayes and Buchannon filling in down the sides.

Craig O'Connor goal up there for goal of the season - not for its skill but cheek!

Dont really think there was a man of the match, as the team had to work for each other due to the unusual formation which caused a few weaknesses in the midfield. This was due to having 4 forwards on and this did mean that after an attack the middle was a bit empty as there was a natural tendancy for every one still to be forward.

As Concorde rangers were hyped up due to their recent form it just goes to show we have a solid side all round that can give anyone a game.

Well done to the boys and looking forward to the draw on Monday.

Very pleased with a very good performance where we closed out the Concord attacks quite well. We probably could have had more but they never really looked like scoring except for that penalty.

Well done to the lads for today, O'Connor was probably MOTM by just a little bit, however they all deserve the credit for a good performance and a comfortable route through to the next round. That O'Connor goal was brilliant just because it was so cheeky!

And a rather nice £4,500 to add to the £4,500 we have already won from this cup run!

Looking forward to the next game.

Becoming par for the course but NBH was immense today and even the Concord supporters said that he was a class above any player on the park!!

Well done to our Rebels today..

And they did not react to the off ball tactics of the concord manager ! really did his best to distrub our bench with outrageous walks down to our technical area on many occassions..how he did not get book or was sent off to the stand just beggers belief !

Our 1st Disallowed Goal , the ref awarded the goal , no indication from the assistant , but soon as they complained they got the goal disallowed ! for some reason...or other..

Slough did a great job today , controlling most of the game and did enough that was required..

great team effort..

cheers chris

I thought the Concorde Manager was shocking...could't pronounce his r's....wewerfeeeeeeeee ! Bloody comical !

Won at a canter today...Ryman North is a poor level based upon what we saw today.

Roll on and well done to all today

Despite Concord having most of the ball Jacko never really had a shot to save. Even the penalty came from an attacker playing in midfield making a slightly ill-judged defensive tackle. We didn't play that well but we still relatively comfortably beat an in-form team. That's got to be good!

NBH is awesome every game so no surprise but the player that's stood out for me the last few games has been Danny Murphy. Thought he was excellent again today. Simon Martin is also improving with every game. Agree with the comments about Concord's manager. He was on the referee's back from the first minute and acted in a disgraceful manner throughout.

Professional performance that, well done chaps!

With no recognised wide players, I didn't expect anything too exciting and we contained them well. Most of the first half was quite even, but imho I though Conord got poorer as the game worn on, they could have played till middnight and not scored and their penalty summed that up. The lads held them up very well.

Their manager was a right cheese weren't he!!!

solid defensive display yet again allowed in the end a very comfortable victory

we look very very hard to beat now mostly because we have such a solid and dominating back 4. all 4 seem to get better and better. Sweeney defensively especially is some what of an unsung hero imo

Martin has improved game after game and his workrate has risen. his determination to give his all for the team is very very clear

special mention to Hayes as well who put in a great shift today in a seemingly unfamiliar position. he might not have been on the ball much but he done his bit helping Sweeney. Tommy even countless times chased back after their best player (number 9 i think it was) though it resulted in a pen eventually though it was a clumsy attackers tackle so it was almost understandable

extremely pleased to be through yet again. not quite time to dream but we ain't far off

Same old Slough Town, always winning! Was disappointed to miss the game, but it sounds like another comfortable win where we were in control of the game.

Not sure what to make of O'Connor's goal - if he scores it for your side it's great, but if it goes against you then he becomes the panto villain! Very cheeky and I bet he got a few digs from the Concord defenders afterwards!

I have told a Woking fan at work that we're going to knock them out, but I'd rather keep that until the 4th qualifying round - looking forward to the draw and hopefully it'll be a kind one.

Staines can you now see the difference between a good manager and Sweetman ? It's as I said all along.
