Todays Protest!

WoW What a day! Today was a great success in letting the council know how serious we actualy are and that we will not go away! It was also a great success in relation to promoting the football club. We had a phenominal reaction from the general public! The horns were honking non stop! Up to 50 different people throughout the day at various times, the press (observer and express) both turned up to take photo's and interviews at around 1.00,then rush hour came and it seemed they brought along nearly half of all slough fans!!Great day all round,great atmosphere,great banners and exceptional drumming!!!??? <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> The meeting to decide who gets the land was brought fwd to 6.30 today,il let Mr Sliski or Gary fill in any one that wasn't there about those very important developments.Its lookin good folkes!! Absolutely right, it was a brilliant day. If the residents of Slough didn't know they had a football club beforehand, they certainly do now. We couldn't have asked for a better reaction from the thousands of passing motorists. Rush hour was great fun!

 

Not sure how all the drumming constitutes a "peaceful" demonstration though - you could hear it from well inside the Town Hall!

 

Well done everyone, especially to those who organised it.

Well done people! Had the banner and the Slough shirt in the back of the car today, but just did not have time today as I was busy!

As Dom has stated great day at protest, good response from the public. Went to Council Meeting afterwards members of the Council gave a very positive sign that they would do all in there powers to keep the Rebels playing at Wexham Park giving Deaner extra land for developement as well as building the Sikh School. Land at Arborfield School could come into the plan as well the biggest problems still exist between the Thorne's and Deaner if all parties could get together and bang heads then the future could be bright.??????????????????????

Real BIG thank you to each and every one who turned up yesterday....just what our people of slough needed a wake up call.......

 

Slough Town are our most senior football team in the town and people have to be told !

but it it is brillant to read that it went so well the other day.i would have loved to have been there.well done lads.it can only be good if even the council members relised at long last that how much slough town f.c is needed for the area.
