Being reasonably local to a lot of Motorways, there are a vast array of different routes to get to Chesham, the majority of travelling fans will come from the M25 as that is the nearest Motorway, but being one of the UK's busiest roads, sometimes it is best avoided, usually when travelling midweek near rush hour. Here are a selection of ways to get to us dependent on where you are coming from:

Chesham United from M25; Coming from the South (or from M4/M40)

Take J18 off the M25 taking the left lane of the slip road to turn left on to the A404 to Chorleywood/Amersham. You will follow this road through Chorleywood straight through 2 sets of lights. You will then pass a school on your left handside, about 1 mile down the road from there you will see the road bear to the left with a right turn to Chenies and Latimer, take this turn and follow the road in to Chenies, this road will lead you to Chesham, you will see a manor house to your right as you follow the road for about 3 miles. You will eventually find yourself on a one way system at a 'left turn only' junction, you will shortly pass an open air pool to your left, follow the road under the bridge, Chesham United is the 2nd exit off the roundabout. This route is not suitable for Coaches!

Coach route

Follow the A404 going past the Chalfont & Latimer Undergound Station, going straight over the mini roundabout, you will now be on The White Lion Road, follow this road until you see a roundabout, take the right exit under the bridge. Follow the road straight across the next two mini roundabouts and bear right at the next mini roundabout, you will see the Boot & Slipper on the corner of the roundabout. Follow straight over the next roundabout following the road to the roundabout at the bottom off the hill, the entrance is directly next to this exit, it is a tight exit, a coach would need to do a full circle on the roundabout to get in.

Coming from the North (or M1)

Take J20 off the M25 to the A41 Aylesbury/Hemel follow this road for about 7 miles, your turn off is after the Service Station; the turn off is for Berkhamsted/Chesham, take the right hand lane in the slip road to the A416 to Chesham. Follow this road through Ashley Green (being careful of the speed trap!) past the college on your left, when you get to the bottom of the hill take a left turn at the mini roundabout. Follow the road for about 1.5 miles, go straight over the next two roundabouts, then get in to the left lane to take the first exit from the next roundabout, you will pass a Pub called the Red Lion on your right shortly after this. Follow the road to a mini roundabout, take the right exit going past two petrol stations either side of the road. Chesham United is on the third exit off the next roundabout.

Chesham United from M1 directly

When coming from the M1 North there are 2 different options to go through Hemel Hempstead or to join the M25 for 1 junction for the A41. The two routes vary dependant upon traffic. Take J8 off, you will go directly on to the A414 straight over the next 4 roundabouts until you get to the bottom of the hill, where you will arrive at the Magic Roundabout. Take the second exit to the left off the system which is the exit for the A41 to Aylesbury/Berkhamsted. Follow the road past the B&Q and over the next junction and get in to the right hand lane as you go up the hill, take the A41 to Aylesbury/Berkhamsted. Your turn off is for Berkhamsted/Chesham, after the Service Station. Take the right hand lane in the slip road to the A416 to Chesham.

Chesham United from M40

Take J2 on the roundabout off the motorway, head toward Beaconsfield on the short dual carriageway take the first exit off the next roundabout. Get in to the right hand lane and take the right exit taking the A335 for about 3 miles. As you approach the next roundabout take the right hand side lane for the second exit. Take a left turn at the following roundabout and right at the front of Tesco store. Take a left turn at the next rounabout. As you follow up the road under the next bridge, go straight over the next mini roundabout, then right at the roundabout in front of Dr Challoners School, then left at the next mini roundabout. Go straight over the next two mini roundabouts until you arrive at the roundabout at the bottom of the hill, Chesham United is on the first exit at a tight angle.

By Train

Chesham is part of the London Underground network and is on the far west of the Metropolitan Line. Walk out of the station and head down station road towards the high street (this is the grey road you can just see at the top of the map below). Turn left and follow signs towards Amersham until you pass two petrol stations which are opposite each other. At the next roundabout take third exit into Chesham United`s ground. Walk takes approx 5 - 10 minutes.

For those travelling by train, there is engineering works on the metropolitan line from Aldgate to Harrow on the hill.

Might find it easier to get on an overground line train from Marylebone to Chalfont & Latimer, and pick up the metroplitan line from there (Chesham is one stop from there)

On the whole though it'll be easier to get the coach
