Terry Yorath resigns as manager of Margate

A tad premature if you ask me. Okay the mumblings about his position in private last week-end might have been slighty justified but he pulled it back on Tuesday & deserves to reap any rewards from it in another game at least.

Terry if you're reading this I would ask you to re-consider please BEFORE Saturday.

If you have reasons other than our form on the pitch, especially at home, then fair do's to you & good luck & thanks & maybe it will be Neville who reaps those rewards on your behalf.

I feel the success on a more regular scale is about to come about & maybe you have thrown in the towel just a little bit too early perhaps.

Nevertheless,Good luck Terry & good luck Neville. Whoever is in charge keep this good form going starting tomorrow.

I think its a damn shame that he has decided to resign. Sure, we have had a couple of bad results but that is no reason to quit. After the result against Horsham the other night I think he should stay put til at least xmas and see where the team is.

Terry - please dont go!!!

If you listen to Terry's interview after Horsham game that might explain his decision. Plus the thread on here couldn't have helped as I know he does look in on this forum.

If TY has some personal reasons for leaving then fair enough , but when will this club and its supporters unite behind and support somebody or something that is clearly edging us in the right direction. No matter who you are or what job you do when your working hard and thinking passionatly about a project you need to feel that your efforts are generally being appreciated . another "own goal " i think .

Good luck to TY and thanks for what you did at senior and youth level.

Wish you all the best for the future Terry but think it was really hurting him not being able to get any consistency in the team. In his interview on Tuesday, even after the win he was still hurting from Saturday's performance so maybe he was putting too much pressure on himself. I am very sorry to see him go but lets all get behind big Nev and hope the team find the consistency we have all been praying for.

One respects TY's high standards-but fear he is being too hard on himself.

Can hardly expect TY to achieve consistency when he has assembled a new team in one month.

(i'm not averse to criticising TY either though, as i do question why this need was not better attended to during the summer- as someone posted-the psf's do all seem a bit of a waste of time-i think the team has about 6/7 different players to those who started the season-rather than wait until about 4/5 games had gone by )

One of the features of the ryman-and much non league football is the cliched truism that 'anybody can beat anybody'-thus you get alot of mid-table buncing-6 points off relegation and six points off play-offs.

Apart from generally the best two and worst two teams-everyone else is consistently inconsistent-and results often go on luck and refs decisions.

Its frustrating, but its like that for everyone-so it is extremely hard to get consistency at this level.

Most ryman teams are arguably 'inconsistent'.

The frustrating thing is that supporters are'nt stupid and our general conscensus is that things were slowly but steadily improving.

Nev said a week ago that it will take until Christmas to get the team` really sorted .

In summary-i again wish that TY could have hung on in there to at least January to see the fruits of his labours;and again do hope he will reconsider-and more importantly- that the Chairman wants him to reconsider

Can`t believe he has left , i added a topic saying 3yrs of s;;t but in no way was this pointing at Terry infact it was to some of our players who in my book have got what they want , my opinion ok . Football clubs state who they want but sometimes players will state who they want it happens unfortunatley and im not saying some did not get on with Terry i don`t no that but Terry should not leave but he has . He`s tougher than this he was a hard man in a hard team so he should be able to stick it out and ok he makes the desitions on the pitch but he is not the individual who goes on the pitch and if that individual cant be bothered then he should go not the boss .

Lifes unfair and he should be our boss at Margate .

Good luck to Nev but a step back , ie Dover and Hastings Nev maybe 3rd time lucky with us , but you should have JK next to you .

All the best Terry but reconsider please just as Cookie said earlier
