Our U18s will be away to Bishop's Stortford in the 2nd Qualifying Round of the FA Youth Cup.

 

The game will be played at Woodside Park, Dunmow Road, Bishop's Stortford CM23 5RG on Wednesday 7 October, 7.30ko.

 

Entry will be £4 Adults, £2 Kids & Concessions.

the FA website says Braintree v Hornchurch on Monday 5/10!

So it does! It is wrong though! Stortford won 4 - 1 at Braintree on Tuesday and will host us on Wednesday 7/10. The kick off will be 7.45 however.

"Lost 4-1 last night, credit to Stortford for being a well organised and slick side, but you would expect that from settled college side who train 3 times a week and have been together for a couple of years. In what was effectively only their second ever game together the Iron U18's conceeded early but fought back into the game and were slightly unfortunate to go in 3-0 down at HT. Second half was a much tighter affair and the youngsters worked their socks off to close the ball down and play when they got the ball. The players did themselves no harm with Garvs watching on and can take a lot of credit for how the coped and adapted in the second half."

 

Looks like a stiff test ahead for the lads.
