CHEATING WELWYN

Recommended Posts

I played for Welwyn on Tuesday night and as a player i can certainly understand the frustration from Hatfield if they feel a ringer has been played........if being the important word. What i will say is dont tar the players or blame the people out on the pitch who worked their butts off to try and get a result.....we dont know what goes on above us, christ we dont know what goes on in front of us half the time, thats why we are near the bottom.

In the same context, no Welwyn player would blame any Hatfield player for the racial abuse one of our players suffered through the second half, we know there is nothing you can do about it, just some drunk idiot fans......so what im trying to say is, if a ringer has been used, you should get the points no doubt. But dont label the players with the cheat tag, we are not and any footballer would have seen that on Tuesday night

Can Worms!!!!

Strange thing to come out with WGFC Player, if you were playing in that team would you not just say there were no ringers rather then sit on the fence!

Exactly, the players knew as much as the management, they knew they were playing ringers, 2 of the players even admitted it,so they are cheats, it stinks to be honest.

As for the racism card, thats an easy one to play when you know your club is in the wrong, and to be honest, a very sad one.

I thought he seemed very genuine and said that he didn't know. He drew a parallel between not blaming a whole club for a bit of stupid behaviour from its fans to not blaming a whole team for whatever a manager may have done. Why can't you see another side to the story? Or is your righteous indignation all that matters? I'm sure it will all come out in the wash and justice will be done.

As far as I was aware this was about ringers and if her played on the night i'm sure he would have known if there was a ringer in the team

Well Ron, u seem to have reared your ugly head again in something that really you have nothing to do with and i was just wondering as you seem to know so much about our club and after your character assasination of our manager some months ago, calling him Tony Soprano i think it was maybe it is about time you grew a pair, came clean, and told us who you really are instead of hiding behind your silly character name?? And as for you not taking any pleasure in us losing against WGC, dont make me laugh!!

Oh and as for Karma, we shall see...................

Is Cockwatch your first name or your surname?

You stay classy Hatfield and thanks for stopping by!!

If teams are going to use ringers then they know the consequences if they get caught, however IF ringers were used in the WGC v Hatfield game then to do such a thing in a local derby where every knows every one to a degree, then that just defies logic

I do feel for the players in this matter. Unless the manager or coach stands in the changing room before the game and says " No one use his real name call him......" then the players will not know that there is a ringer on the pitch, they don't get to see the team sheet. The players will just be thinking he is a new signing!!!!! Unless they were all in on it as well. But the manager must of known this game was coming up and the player he named was playing that night for Enfield Town or is he just thick??

At the end of the day the blame has to fall at the feet of the Manager & Coaches no where else. The team will lose the 3 points, the club now has a rep as a club that will cheat at whatever costs. The only way out for the club is to stand up and sack the manager and coaches and make a statement they will not stand for any cheating!!!!! The players can not be happy with it all they will now play for a club that is known for cheating, would you want that?

As for the drunk fan i am glad to see that none of the players reacted to him and i hope the clud ban him from the ground and pass his details on to other clubs for them to do the same no-one wants that in football.

What Really says makes sense, the legitimate players for WGC have gone out there and given a 110%, maybe one or two might have picked up a niggling injury in the process, and for what, IF, ringers were used.

And what for the players who were dropped if this were the case, IF, and I use this word because I dont have concrete proof that an irregularity took place, but if it did then the person or people responsible should have no place in the club with immediate effect, or any other club for that matter.

I think the 'Welwyn post 3 points' forum would confirm that an irregularity took place, as I said on there and will repeat on here, what are WGC as a club going to do about it, but more so how many people connected with the club were actually in the know?

So Hatfield have never played a player who wasn't registered or someone who was banned under another name?

Eveyone hates losing especially to local rivals and if they've cheated they'll be punished but to bleat about it - i never thought that was the Atfield way!!

Everyone hates not playing , but most people fight for their place and they dont all go back to their old club and then decide that they might then go back to the 1st club and try to take their old team mates with them . Morality is a fine thing to talk about when you are involved with Colney Heath .

If you are referring to when the current management duo left Colney as players, played for Hatfield and left. Then having decided to take on the management role the following season inquired as to whether certain players - whom were still signed on for colney - would be interested in playing the following season. I'm not sure that that is immoral or even against the rules!!

I notice Robin you ducked the question but then about Morality, how about what was done to the away dressing room when Colney Heath came visiting?

People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones, you reap what you sow in this world and Karma has a funny way of coming round, seems to me like you guys have had a dose of yours!

Please don't get me wrong I get no pleasure in seeing Hatfield lose to WGC!

Duck the question - Has Trevor Lloyd ever played a ringer ? NO .

ROBIN HOOD HAS NOT DUCKED OUT OF THE QUESTION BECAUSE AS HE QUOTES TREVOR LLOYD HAS NEVER PLAYED A RINGER SO YOU AND YOUR COLNEY HEATH INFORMANTS DONT KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT EVERYONE OBVIOUSLY

All well and good, but too many clubs are ruled by their managers which is of course nonsense. Managers need to stick to the team and leave the paperwork to someone else.

The club officials have to take the blame wholly and must take their punishment as such. If they can't be bothered to be at a game to oversee these things, or are too facile to realise that a ringer is on the team sheet or too cowardly to stand up to their manager, then they have to take their punishment and learn from it - or give up being involved in football at this level. Half the job of running a club is managing your manager. If they are bullies, then bully them back until they mend their ways or just go away. Decent managers tend to be at decently run clubs, quelle surprise!
