A few comments I'd like to make on last night's game.

 

1 - Congratulations on the win, thoroughly deserved, especially with the way we presented you with your two goals! Our manager was very upset last night with the way we conceded, especially having scored such a good goal to take the lead.

 

2 - The red card was indeed for one of our subs who had yet to take to the field. He said something out of turn to the assistant referee shortly before half-time. I think the referee tried to talk him out of a red card sanction during half-time, as he didn't seem entirely happy that he was having to do it. The assistant referee on the dug out side, and I know Neville Southall would back me up on this as we agreed on it during the game, was a complete fool (that's the polite version) all night long! The referee it must be said, I thought was excellent.

 

3 - John Keister was awesome as a sweeper, made it really hard to break you down.

 

4 - I didn't really notice you using a huge amount of width, although Sam Cliff did make a few runs.

 

5 - It's always good to welcome you guys to our home games. It's a shame that it had to be a Tuesday night this season.

 

6 - Good luck for the rest of the season - apart from our return fixture at Hartsdown Park of course

Thanks Steve it was a shame that his was a midweek fixture as it is always a pleasure to enjoy the 'GREENS' hospitality & Obama Mr Vargas (a good friend of a friend of mine) but will just have to make up fo it on the return fixture.
