Gate take funding progress to High Court

I REALLY CANT SEE A PROBLEM tomorrow its quite obvious the club is going to repay the debt i am sure more time will be allowed

I hope you are right.

Alternatively anyone taking this all for granted though needs to have a bit of a re-think.

we were alot close to extinction than most realised 3 months ago-and that was the final let-off

We are supposedly in last chance saloon following the july meeting; (how many chances have we had ?)and i question the merit of playing poker with hrmc in current climate when they are after a football club as a sacrificial lamb.

depending on the judge on the day-you can sometimes only try peoples patience so many times.

That given-i accept its probably a case of needs must if the money just is not there.

Up the 'Gate

Like Michael says we shouldn't be taking anythying for granted here & to be honest I'm a little surprised we haven't found the the whole amount for tomorrow (or even prior to tomorrow). Here's hoping for the best but am slightly concerned, though only slightly.

It will make sense to keep monies in our own bank account to accrue the interest ;)

Fingers crossed

But we are £17000 short of the amount due in what was the last chance .

Not looking great to me.

i guess like a few with alot more at stake-woke up this morning with this on my mind.

Still worried that if the club statement is to be taken at face value; why will the proposal of pay £12.5k and then 3 further installments be accepted; when in July-a very similar proposal, in fact more favourable to HRMC -was categorically denied.

Again; if you just have'nt got the money-nothing you can do about it; but it just seems to me that you can only 'push' so far-and then come unstuck big time.

Just trust KP is a better poker player than me.

I guess (I hope) that is our opening gambit rather than a final offer. However, the registrar would be justified in telling us to go forth and multiply.

If the amount outstanding is now 'just £15K '-could it even be the case that HMRC will be prepared to 'write off' their loss-just to make an example of a football club-and MFC become the sacrificial lamb ?

The taxman will probably want every penny, and rightly so. Really it's down to how lenient the registrar is.

Obviously good news, personally delighted and well done all round.

Having now had 4 hours of self congratulation-is it now more important to focus on what is going to happen in those 56 days.

What exactly will be different and what is going to change in the next 56 days ?

Am i correct that the outstanding amount is circa £15K ?

How is that going to be found in the next 56 days?

Does it require 100 of us to pledge another £100 each ?

Can anyone ?

Will anyone ?

Is £100 the equivalent of the spend in petrol to 3 away games-so do we avoid 3 away games and instead put the £100 petrol money into the clubs funding ?
