Midweek football bonanza

I see you're back posting at work again Rhodes, all OK on that front now?

How can you possibly tell that, I wouldn't give someone from Kentish Town the ammunition as I don't believe it was Keeps afterall. Apparently they got Mauritius Sports thrown out of the FA Vase so they're capable of anything.

I dont believe Mr Dance will be playing or listed on the team sheet so cant see what difference he will make.

Should be a entertaining game with Aylesbury FC snapping at your heels, one point behind with two games in hand.

I see someone as been playing with a calculator on your website, put in perspective.. League games AFC scored 12 against 1 = 12 for 1 against, DTFC is aprox 2 for 1 against. I just hope it's a footballing game.

And that is exactly why I included ALL games played which showed it should be a close game. Should be a good game, but will probably be very dull and having had the same referee a few weeks ago at Tring, I'm fairly certain it won't finish 11 v 11.

As for Mr. Dance he will not be playing, of course, but I'm sure he will pull out all the stops and call in all his favours to beat us. Should be a few old faces on show tonight from DTFC to rekindle their friendship with Roger.

I thought the referee had a very good game last night. 3 yellow cards spot on and I thought the lino on the crowd side was fantastic!

SORRY no way did the ref have a good game, lost the game in the first ten minutes, first yellow card to an Aylsbury player who was honestly looking at the ball, who had earlier had been taken out three times by the same player after the ball had been played, who got spoken to once.

It was obvious the young man (linesman) on the stand side of the ground was not allowed to make any decisions apart from ball out or off side when suited (to the ref). AFC wingers were continualy taken out after passing the defence, no words no cards. Sorry only for the majority of gamemanship and skills of both clubs made this a reflection of good football.

Marks for ref 6 marks for assistants 8

The FA Web Site.....

Protest from Eton Manor considered and decision made.

Mauritius Sports Association UK 2-0 Eton Manor

The FA Carlsberg Vase

First Round Qualifying

Saturday 5 September

An FA Vase Protest Sub Committee was held on Monday 14 September 2009 to consider a protest lodged by Eton Manor against Mauritius Sports Association UK.

The protest was upheld after considering the facts surrounding the inclusion of Javier Rivera in the above tie. The Sub Committee decided that Mauritius Sports Association UK had breached FA Vase Rule 15© by playing a player whilst under suspension, therefore ineligible.

The Sub Committee decided, in accordance with its discretionary powers, that Mauritius Sports Association UK be removed from the Competition and Eton Manor reinstated. The prize fund payment is also awarded to Eton Manor.

No order was made as to costs and no fine imposed as removal from the Competition is deemed sufficient

I don't see any mention of Kentish Town FC in this statement, so put away your wooden spoon or we will unleash the Tiger.

No but somebody from Kentish Town allegedly telephoned Eton Manor to inform them that Javier Rivera was sine dined and wasn't elligible to play, they subsequently contacted the FA and Mauritius Sports, who were unaware of the situation, were unceremoniously expelled from the competition.

Whoever reported the offence, are you saying that it's ok to play suspended players?

Horace - No I'm not saying that it's okay to play suspended players however it was all a set up, Kentish Town knew before the FA Vase tie between Mauritius Sports and Eton Manor that Javier Rivera was sine dined so why didn't they phone the Club to alert them. Instead they waited until after the game and then phoned Eton Manor or, as rumour has it, Eton Manor knew beforehand that Rivera wasn't elligible to play.
