Midweek football bonanza

Recommended Posts

The Mrs is letting me out this midweek after i've helped out with the new addition to thecoldend fold so i'll be able to take in a midweek match. There are loads to choose from:

Premier

Aylesbury V Dunstable T

Big U V Langford

Chalfont V Haringey

Harefield V Hanwell

Hertford V Broxbourne

Levvy Green V Colney H

Oxhey V Hillingdon Boro

ST M V Royston Town

WGC V Hatfield Town

DIV 1

Cranfield V Buckingham A

Hoddy V Brache

Holmer G V Kings Langley

London C V Stony Stratford

Not forgetting the Wednesday games too..

PREM

Brims V Tring

Kentish T V KLT

DIVSION ONE

AFC Dunstable V Ampthill

Crawley G V Bedford

Hadley V Cockfosters

SLEB V Amersham T

Tok M V Sun Postal

Not forgetting the numerous FA Youth Cup games inc ETFC V Northwood on Tuesday night.

There are some good local derby matches on tuesday with Big V Langford and WGC V Hatfield T. Where are people going?? The cold end is looking towards WGC V Hatfield Town...or ETFC's youth cup tie....Hadley V Cockfosters or KT V KLT on Wednesday..

On a different note I think Loosely should pop along to the Tok M game on Wednesday night and give Rhodes a big hug and vice versa...share some love around!!!!!!! Will Southill Alex play Tok M in a friendly next year????

I shall be at Haywood Way on Tuesday to see the mighty Blues take on the New Aylesbury Vale. With our old chairman, now chairman of New Aylesbury Vale it could be an interesting evening!!

Also I shall be in attendance at our FA Youth Cup match against Kettering Town at Creasey Park on Thursday evening.

I dont believe Mr Dance will be playing or listed on the team sheet so cant see what difference he will make.

Should be a entertaining game with Aylesbury FC snapping at your heels, one point behind with two games in hand.

I see someone as been playing with a calculator on your website, put in perspective.. League games AFC scored 12 against 1 = 12 for 1 against, DTFC is aprox 2 for 1 against. I just hope it's a footballing game.

And that is exactly why I included ALL games played which showed it should be a close game. Should be a good game, but will probably be very dull and having had the same referee a few weeks ago at Tring, I'm fairly certain it won't finish 11 v 11.

As for Mr. Dance he will not be playing, of course, but I'm sure he will pull out all the stops and call in all his favours to beat us. Should be a few old faces on show tonight from DTFC to rekindle their friendship with Roger.

Aylesbury V DTFC is probably the game of the night... I'm going for a Dunstable away victory 2-1 as Aylesbury will have their Saturday FA Cup tie in the back of their minds.

I'm still undecided between WGC V Hatfield or Big U V Langford...Both local derbies so either will be good and both the same distance away from where I live, can't venture too far due to the new little one..

Aylesbury 2-0 Dunstable

Aylesbury striker must have felt sorry for them, missing two one on ones with the keeper. No Dunstable attempts of any note not even a corner that I can remember. Nice to see both teams attempted to play passing fooball for the majority of the game.

Biggleswade United 0 Langford 1

Langford were the better team for much of the match... Big U hit bar late on.. Fair result. New stand at Second Meadow is very nice indeed. Pics and footage of the goal will be on line soon.

4 1 Chalfont St Peter v Haringey Borough

It sounds like Haringey Borough were unsurprisingly well beaten last night:

0 0 Hertford Town v Broxbourne Borough

A surprising 0-0 draw at Hertingfordbury Park last night which was the last result I expected:
