Late 70s when Punk injected some life into music that had become very dull maybe but I prefer the 60's myself.

As I was born in the mid 1940's, I think you can say I have a pretty broad knowledge of music from the 50's onwards.

Some good, some bad, some brilliant in each decade.

90's and 2000 ? Very few outstanding bands/groups or musicians.

Too many now just try to fit a mould rather than try to break it!

The 60s, definitely. The Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, the Beach Boys, and best of the lot, local Romford band Tony Rivers and the Castaways,AKA Harmony Grass.

All that plus free love, Red Barrel and Double Diamond beer and best of all, in 1967 Romford were Southern League champions and unofficially the top non league side in England.

I'm to much of a gentleman to tell.

Anyway is wasn't completely free, girls used to drink vodka and lime in those days, and some even expected brandy and babycham, but those ones didn't last long.
