Is there something wrong with Rhodes' computer?

Horace - The reason I'm not posting so often is that I don't find the new format very user friendly and it seems to take forever and a day to make a post however I won't disappear from view completely, I won't give Loosely that satisfaction.

Rhodes, theres surely no shame in admitting that you have moved and haven't got your internet sorted yet. Surely better than blaming it on some of the best forum software that money and effort can buy and as a free forum surely surly Rhodes can't complain if dial up from your neighbouring telephone kiosk is the cause. Tsk Rhodes, Tsk!

Horace - The reason I'm not posting so often is that I am living back with my Mother, Norman Bates style, and she now has hold of my purse strings in the hope she can pay off my debts, including the ones i owe to members of this forum. Those internet cafes are not cheap, and i am finding it a struggle with the allowance Mother has allocated me.Hopefully i can find some other gullible person to rent off soon, as i can then live for free again, and get back to my 600 posts per month.

Loosely - So you finally admit to feeling sheepish that Southill Alexander charge for the 'privilege' of accessing their Website and Forum. Yes I have moved home recently, I never denied that I had.

Rhodes, I notice that you have avoided answering the issue of the Tokyngton Manor FC website being down for over 4 weeks "like the plague" and that in fact they also offer a £25 web membership scheme.

Will Tokyngton website members be receiving a refund? Just how long does "maintenance" take on a website? Is there something very "rotten" going on at Tokyngton? Why have Tokyngton had such a dramatically bad start to their season?

Yes, I saw that you were encountering problems with your accomodation, also the intimation that you had not paid your rent but believed that all landlords deserved everything coming to them. Perhaps you should be honest enough to use that as a reference to any prospective new landlord? Maybe not.

Loosely - I believe that all landlords and, to a slightly lesser degree, estate agents are pariahs of the highest order and the lowest of the low motivated by pure greed. Take your properties in Acton and Ealing for example which appeared fairly run of the mill from the pictures however the rent you were asking was pure extortion.

No answer on the "missing" Tokyngton Manor FC Website then, or the fact that they also offered a £25 website membership scheme, something that Southill Alexander is frequently criticised by you for also offering on the backend of a very functional site to visitors?

Your opinion of landlords and estate agents is largely irrelevent Rhodes, until you want to rent a property that you then renege on paying rent for. Supply and Demand Rhodes. Eventually you and your family go on a blacklist issued to all rental agencies and available to all landlords, you then end up on the street or at the mercy of extended family. Not my problem or issue. The Acton property has gone to a visiting professor at UCH at the asking for 12 months ta.

I believe it's influenced by what is called supply and demand. Now it may be that it's unfair to those without a pot to p*ss in, but that's how it works!

Loosely - The Club has an informative, all singing all dancing, Facebook page whilst the Website is down due to circumstances out of the Chairman's control however you don't strike me as the type to have a Facebook account

Rhodes, your interpretation of "All singing & dancing" seems as loose as your signature on a lease agreement.

Lets compare it with the very basic in addition to an official website SAFC Facebook page:-

Now, you are right, I don't know much about facebook, I have a little account but remind me, what is "All singing & dancing" again, and will your website members be getting a refund for their £25 investment?

Shut the f*ck up Rhodes.

Well I gathered that NF. But then you have to have a facebook account don't you? Hardly set up for the casual visitor who just wants to find out where the club is in case they want to visit for a wednesday midweek game innit? :dance (2):

Loosely - In many cases Club Facebook pages have taken over outdated and tired looking Websites so perhaps you should drag yourself and Southill Alexander into the real World, Facebook is also free to join so that's an added incentive. I've noticed that Dunstable Town for example have a particularly innovative Facebook page, I'm sure Scottie has a lot to do with that.

Rhodes, perhaps you need to actually read posts, if you do you'll notice that SAFC has a facebook page along with a fully functioning website open to visitors and not down for maintenance for over 4 weeks or a facebook page that you have to join as a friend before you can get any info on Tik Tok Manners. We are also signed up to Twitter, whatever that is. Now, shut the F*ck up cos you just got F'd in the A.

It wouldn't surprise me if Southill Alexander in the Bedfordshire League do, they seem to do everything else

Loosely - Strangely enough I made the above post on the another Forum a few weeks back on a thread entitled 'Club's Wot Twitter' so you have proved me right, thanks.

Felt broken hearted for 10 minutes or so Rhodes, then remembered the saying about a broken clock being right twice a day.

With owners who are IT professionals as well as football mad from Dorset to the Mersey, from Denver to Harbin, China, from Dubai to Bratislava we have no shortage of facebook, twitter, huddle and ustream coming out of our arses 24/7. If you need any help let us know.
