For the first quarter of an hour Bethnal Green were all over the place and OWT broke through the totally disorganised offside trap to take the lead. Once the visitors had sorted themselves out they came back into it and scored two cracking goals before the break. The second was a deliberate punt from the keeper to a forward who beat the OWT defence for pace and smashed the ball into the net. In the second half it was OWT's turn to be a shambles defensively and they were duly punished for 3-1. They did get a penalty with quarter of an hour left, but their number 10 dragged his shot wide, and that was pretty much it.
