The manager can't be blamed alone, he picks his team but from what i saw today the majority of the team had no passion to play for this club. In the CK days the players that took to the field played for MFC and wanted to play for him. IMO only a handful of players at the club at present are giving their all in wanting to play for the club and TY. IMO we should get rid of those that lack passion and bring in players that want to be part of MFC.

Geoff, I would keep Keister, Lacey, Robinson, Healy, Young, Cliff, Blackman,Louis Smith as well as Corbishly and Barnard when fit. Goal Keeper wise i would keep Alliston and Krunic.

I would reluctantly let Nicholls go for no reason other than the huge amount of money we must be paying him.

I would let go on their performances this season - Wilson, Millington, Haverson, Lewis, West and Mullins

I would keep an open mind at this stage on Lawrence, and Beech as both have been injured since joining, i would consider keeping Morris as a squad player.

We have other young keepers such as Alliston and Krunic at the club who could do a job for us if we had a defence that could defend. We need to rebuild from the back, once we stop leaking goals then we can start to grind out results. I would rather watch us grind out 1-0 wins each week instead of being totally open and risk conceding 3 goals each week making it nye on impossible to win.

To be honest I don't think we have improved from where we were this time last season when Big Nev and Terry took to the helm. We have put in some half decent displays (Sutton in the cup and Aveley) this season but again we seem to lack any sort of consistency and still have the defensive problems that dogged us last year. More alarmingly there has been a distinct lack of passion and spirit in too many games and that is very worrying. At least JK in charge would save on one salary - we need to save as much as we can at the moment particularly with our traditional early cup exit. I also think he will get the best out of the players that are under performing - for some reason TY and Big Nev seem unable to get them motivated and to be fair they have had enough time to get it right.

I said it a few weeks ago on my Blog(quote: ....One question I ask – is TY too qualified as a Manager – asking players to do things beyond their ability in unfamiliar roles and formations?

Perhaps we should adopt the K.I.S.S. (keep it simple stupid) approach, with TY dumbing down his approach until we get a bit of confidence as a team.....)

We are still playing people out of position? why was Smith in midfield? he's the obvious replacement for Dan Young. Ben Lewis played midfield for Maidstone, but we play him in defence... why? Why not let Wilson play where he had success last season? - then he may play like a man with confidence (he's like a lost lamb at the moment).

Terry , Nev K.I.S.S.

Haverson has played well this season, and in my opinion he's showed up the more experienced Lewis; West hasn't had enough of the ball to show us what he's capable of.

Agree. I think Haverson has been fine. Shame that Youngy is out but please dont start mucking about with the defence too much. Ramsgate did that last season with dreadful players and paid a big price.

No one has mentioned one guy that has played for us yet and that is Dan Lombardo , he has come on as a sub over the past 2 games and showed plenty of passion , he got in against Sutton at home and helped us to 3 corners and set up a couple of shots and yesterday as soon as he was on he was running at the Horsham defence causing them problems winning a couple of free kicks , generally getting stuck in so i would say he has to stay with Haverson staying as well along with Nicolls , JK , Blackman , Lewis , Young , Smith , Lawerence , Beech , Cliff and Healy .

That is a stupid thing to say about Wilson, really isn't it. Even with the loss yesterday, he was still creating some chances, its not his fault that the other players do not know what to do with these chances. Others moan about some players lack of passion, all this banter does not help. Some people have too much of an opinion when it's not them on the pitch!

What rubbish!!!

The only players i saw benefitting from Wilsons "creativity" was the opposition.

When he does manage to get the ball under control(which isn't often)he plays a blind pass without even looking up or over hits it.

People have every right to "moan" about players lack of passion when they see what is going on at Hartsdown just lately, d'you expect them to just stand in silence whilst watching a complete lack of effort from somebody who's being paid to play for the club they love?

I didn't realise that you have to actually be playing to have an opinion!!!

Last season I was an admirer of Wilson but this year he just hasn't clicked & Saturday was a "nightmare" for him. We need him to return to the form of last season.

Haverson also was very poor yesterday & Blackman WILL get us goals. Given the openings I'm positive he will do us proud before the season ends, BUT he does need help up front & West i.m.o. hasn't been much help to him up there from what I've witnessed.West should be doing a lot lot more than he is showing at the moment.

We just need a whole revamp of the squad. I'd keep 2 - 3 at a push - of the current lot and show the rest where the door is. Said it at the start of the season, and re-iterate it now, this squad is still not strong enough for this league. If we stay up this year, it will be a miracle!

Old Timer, I can't recall WILSON creating any chances this year on a regular basis. Yes he had a great season last year and we all had high hopes for this but he seems to have forgotten what colour we play in and too often passes the ball to the oposition. Maybe he is coloured blind which could be an excuse.

I will concede then that an arguement could be made for Haverson, but i still question as to if we can afford Nicholls.

Buzzgate - IMO it would be impossible for TY to mess with the defence because we haven't got a defence in the first place.

I know he may be costly but surely he must be the one player we need to keep. We won't find a better one.

Mind you if results continue as they are & attendances drop, as they surely will do, we might not be able to afford him anyway. Has he signed a contract?

I can't see more more than 250 attending next week to be honest.

i do understand that first team results are the most important measure of managerial success but being manager of the under 15's i think T & N should be given tremendous credit for the work they are beginning to do with the youth section this season , some of our young starlets are now being given opportunities to benefit from their wealth of experience that they previously would not have had , even when some of my lads recently trained with the first team Terry spent a decent amounty of time giving them guidance and advise and Neville spent a lot of time with me the other night pointing out some coaching points during a training match . May be they see it that the future is local talent and are beginning to invest in this concept .

I hope they want to and or are allowed to carry on as i feel the medium term future could be very bright if they do.

We could of course go the Ramsgate way and pick up Kent league or Sunday league players who are at that level for a reason. If you want to change the defence you need better to come in and that means people from this level or higher.

Ok my turn to rant. First Seaside Steve, I mean no disrespect to you, but I seem to recall a hell of a lot of times when you have called for various different managers heads. Yes the manager is usually the first person to blame, but this time it really does seem to be down to players and not management. The same team were selected for the game at Sutton last Tuesday as the team that were selected Saturday. After Tuesdays performance, in which it was widely commented that the team played very well and were exceptionally unlucky to lose, I believe T.Y. could send out the same team and expect the same sort of commitment and play. The fact the team played like complete muppets is beyond the managers control. You can have any manager you want but with players that inconsistent you will not get anywhere. I know we all like to be armchair managers and we all think we could do better, but unless he can find some way of getting the players to perform consistently then we are most likely sunk.
