ok I listened to the game and I have read what everyone said on here. From what I heard its a very scrappy game with the goals coming from Margates sloppy defending. We started with the first attack of the game and then went to sleep until the 85th minute. I didnt hear anything to show that Horsham were much better, they just seemed to be able to defend. Maybe I'm wrong, and maybe I got the wrong picture from what I heard but it seems to me that until we can play for 90 minutes instead of 10 and until we learn to defend as a unit we are not going to get anywhere.

I agree with most of the above. I would keep Keister, Lacey, Robinson, Healy, Young,Cliff, Blackman,Smith as well as Corbishly and Barnard when fit.

I would then look to reverting back to the sweeper style we had during our successful years by bringing in an experienced sweeper to mop up at the back. This would allow the ball to be played out of defence. I would reluctantly let Nicholls go for no reason other than the huge amount of money we must be paying him. We have other young keepers at the club who could do a job for us if we had a defence that could defend. We need to rebuild from the back, once we stop leaking goals then we can start to grind out results. I would rather watch us grind out 1-0 wins each week instead of being totally open and risk conceding 3 goals each week making it nye on impossible to win.

The entire squad at present lacks passion IMO from the manager, coach right down to a majority of players. We need a manager and a squad of players that are going to be passionate about MFC and give us 110% week in week out. IMO changes are needed sooner rather than later however i don't anticipate anything happening until after Wednesday when hopefully the Inland Revenue Issue will be sorted. This may then open doors for new investment and new directors to join the club. If things don't improve the crowds will continue to drop and we will slip back into the dark days that we endured in the Thanet United years. I'm not sure that i could take to us playing that badly again but agree we are not far from it at present.

yes very poor again it appears we have moved on very little from last season. I thought last season the excuses were valid a new team of young players, change of manger etc etc. We now have a mix of experience and the young ones from last season ok its still only 8 games or so but we still look real poor playing teams which are basically on par with us, which we should be beating, they come here playing like the home team. I think Lacey showed passion, commitment today but that was the only plus side. The goal for us was a cracker and ok we played well for the last 5 mins but Horsham 3 nil up wit 5 to go are not exactly gona put themselves about are they.

I agree Geoff we need forawrds that can score goals, but equally we need a defence that conceeds less goals than our forwards can score or nothing will be different. Lets go back to playing a sweeper to clean up behind the defence therefor allowing JK to play slightly further forward like he use to. Bring back Billy Edwards or somebody that can control the back line like he did.
