it was just pants :( there was no chasing the ball down, hardly any tackling, and no spirit!! the last 5 mins were the best that they played all game. Didnt help the fact that the ref was VERY biased in Horsham's favour tho.

 

Best bit about the afternoon was getting to finally meet AncientBlue! :)

dead right mate i didnt go today as i have seen enough this season to know its total rubbish again.i really think we have the players to be better than this what is wrong i dont know but they havnt got a clue.mabe terry just dosnt know what he is doin at this level cos he was used to dealing wih far better players who can actually play football,i just hope he hasnt got a long contract so we can get someone with experience at this level which is something we havnt had since ck.it may not be the answer but things cant go on as they are, gates will be down to 200 by mid october.anyone else got any ideas?

Absolute crap indeed. Maybe not for 3 years but certainly today . On a par to the Cray game I would say. No, I would say worse & I thought the Cray game was the worst we could be.Goes to show there's always one worse than the previous one.Some talking needs to be done behind the scenes I feel & intense talking at that.

 

Bring back Billl Edwards or someone similar who can sweep up the back. At the moment the defence get's caught out time & time again by balls over the top & speedy & fit wide men. A sweeper would stop that i.m.o. & we could then push the back three up 5 yards .Keister & Healy good,Nicholls not at fault for the goals i.m.o & .introduction of Cliff helped gave us some width.We had "none" at all until then. Apart from those 4 the others need to look at themselves hard. One in particular.

Personally I think there were too many hoof and hope balls and misplaced passes to have any chance today.

Horsham were no more than average and we made them look good.

I think Keister should be played further up and there is no way Healy and Wilson are the wide men we need to get crosses in for West. Healy just behind a front two and Wilson in centre-midfield with Keister would be far more effective. Louis Smith could do very little being played out of position and Sam Cliff was much better down the wing when he came on. All he needs to do is look for the easier option now and again.

We did very little for 85 minutes then gave our usual all out push. Why don't we batter teams like this at the very start of each half as when we did it Horshams defence looked shakey.

Also, when we scored there was still 3 minutes of normal time and an unknown amuount of stoppage time to be played, but not one player made an attempt to get the ball from the back of the net and get things going again.

One last thing....not sure why Blackman is captain. Not that I think a captain makes that much difference anyway, and no disprespect to Lloyd, but I have always felt that a captain should be someone further back who has an eye on the whole team in front of him. I would, personally, give Keister the armband as I think he could get things going if anyone as a captain could.

On the plus points....nicely taken goal from Healy and a good build up to it. Some nice football when it happened. Keister's eye for a pass is still excellent and Blackman's controlling touch is usually very good.

Agree steve, the best goal of the game.Their goals were a penalty,a tap in & a player waltzing past our defenders like they weren't there.All should have EASILY been avoided.

Blackman I like & he does give some effort so I'll include him that small bunch I mentioned above.

 

Oh & finally..If I see our defenders backing off oncoming traffic again (players running at them) I'll scream!! Oh forgot I already did that today already . :wall:

some honest points put across , what i can`t understand is why Terry was hanging around outside the dressing room at half time , is he not the manager , Was Nev having his say . If i was Terry i would be in there with the door shut kicking everybody up the [****!!****] telling them this is how i want it second half just like the Sutton manager kept them all locked up last week , they came out and ran the show from there grabing the draw they wanted .

well where to begin, defence went on holiday midfield even with JK looked lost and attack was non-eventful and to be honest never looked threatening. Spoke to a few players after the game and they all (bar none) were gutted, so where is it going wrong. Management or players - I personally think that maybe TY and NS are two many leagues above us to appreciate the RYMAN style which is unfortunately Hoof and Hump. We DO have the players to play attractive football but they cant play in the formation they are in now, so solutions are...... if I knew that then I would be manager but to be honest I cant handle too much more of this cos its not like we are playing good but still getting beaten - we are playing bad/disjointed/dire some would say and deserve to lose

What a F**king disgrace, following two decent performances against 12 men.

 

Why can't we string a few passionate games together, if these wasters think they can find another team by playing well in a couple of cup games they may as well f**k off now!!!

 

Keister, Lacey, Robinson(as usual), Nicholls, Healy and Cliff as sub, the rest may as well stay at home for all the good they're doing, if you don't wanna play for Margate then do us all a favour...

 

Wilson as i've said before is a complete waste of space and i'm suprised he's even got the front to show his face in the bar after the game, he should be paying us!!!

I really can not understand why Wayne is playing so badly this guy won awards last yr , i voted for him because his football was fantastic and so did others thats why he picked up surporters player of the yr but this season he just wonders around not knowing anything , in a way i feel sorry for the guy but its not just Wayne its all the team . On paper you would say that the squad was good and capable of upsetting this league but not to be .
