The one that stands out for me is Big spending Brimmo (who should be doing better than they are in the league) V top of the table Colney Heath... should be a very close one.

also:

London APSA who had a good result on Thursday being FC Clacton against Royston Town.

Herts County Codicote will want to get a good result at Biggleswade United

and KLT will find it tough versus Takeley..

Lets hope at least one local SSML side go on a good run like Chalfont did last year; maybe even reach Wembley

TheColdEnd - Yes, like Hillingdon Borough did in 2005/2006 however they were unfortunate to have to play at St Andrews due to the refurbishment of Wembley. The stand out game for me has to be Cockfosters v Bucks Students Union just to see how many Cockfosters win by, if you received the programme I sent you from the last round you will see that I said in the notes that 'the winners of today's tie have a bye in the next round against minnows Bucks Students Union' which is why Cockfosters were so keen to claim the tie after Special1 had spilled the beans that Tokyngton Manor had inadvertently played a suspended player.

Not got the programme yet Rhodes...Prob held up in the post strike. Cup competition's are great levellers so BSU could pull a 'shock' off... Looking at it 'Foster's haven't won a game in the league yet but they've only lost two out of six.. I forecast a 3-1 victory to the home side...

What is a shame is i'm knee deep in nappies (and lacking sleep....should really be catching z's now) looking after the new addition to the cold end fold so i couldn't make the Hadley game tonight, Potter's Bar is only 20 mins from my door so it had my name written all over it..But family comes first!!! Going to try and make a game on Tuesday hopefully a Vase replay or ETFC's youth cup game.

What about the Bill Shankly saying though, do you think he would have stayed home to change nappies

Bill Shankly had a professional playing and top flight management career spanning over 40 years, he didn't print up the odd 60 programmes or so, perhaps he was as afraid of forming bonds with his children as you are Rhodes.

You know the saying - behind every great man is a great woman.... I bet even the legend that was Bill Shankly changed a few nappies here and there..

In fact his original quote went "Football is not a matter of life and death, you have to clean up and put the bins out" until he re-thought it (after cleaning up, putting the bins out and talking to his Mrs about shoes) and came up with "It's more important than that"

Ressult from last night

Hadley 2 Harpenden Town 0. Att : 83

Coldend, the attendance figure from last nights game of 83, do you know if that is true and correct for the benefit of Rhodes, coz if 33 of them had committee passes, 19 had student cards, 11 had used bus tickets, 9 had doctor's appoinment cards and 7 had sewn up pockets then that would mean that the offical attendance of 'paying customers' who can then only be counted as the one's who watched the game would b 4 :signthankspin:

Football was also Shankley's job. I still go to work during the day but my "leisure" time now has other priorities.

If I was a professional footballer these days I may be forced to give up one of my rounds of golf each week or employ a second nanny on minimum wage
