Wallington could not handle the pressure of trying to win the ESL.So he took the easy way out.I hope he struggles at Maldon,I wished he had a zero budget a week and see how he would get on.He would'nt be a manager if he did not have a budget.

Wallington does not know what he wants, suffice an easy ride with lots of budget, lots of praise and lots of newspaper interviews etc. me me me me me!

He also needs to keep telling everyone that out of the squad of 48 players, 40 are injured this week, that is why we didn't do well. Bit like Coachie!

He is a poor manager, a poor man manger, and lacks basic people skills. He deserves to do bad, as there are not many people who have a good word to say for him. He wreaks havoc wherever he goes.

Many hope he does bad, many who he has treated bad in all the clubs he's been at.

Not a fan........ does it show?

Will Tiptree become Maldon Town reserves?

Will the Tiptree sugar daddy now become the same to Maldon?

Will Tiptree fold?

What will the toothless FA (and the ESL) have to say if it all goes pearshaped?

Anyone want ringside tickets?

OK here goes - Tiptree Chairman has gone to Maldon. Maldon Chairman has gone to Tiptree. All the Maldon players have walked as they are behing Nethers.

The F.A. & ESL will do nothing abouth this.

Tiptree will become Maldon reserves run by Brad King for the next few weeks. All of Tiptree's remaining players will make the step up to Ryman

J.J. - where on this forum have Basildon & Burnham made noises (to use your phrase) that they can win it.

With this happening and without Nethercott moving to Tiptree along with the rest of his Maldon squad this could be the most open ESL season for many a year.

The club with the best squad of players and togetherness will surley win through - not the club with the biggest wage bill

Here's to a great 7 months following the fortunes of all the ESL teams

Good luck one and all

(Except Dullbridge of course - Hello Coachie)

Also since the changes to Fans Focus has anyone seen Jenko or is the new web face too complicated for him ???

MAJOR upheavals for Maldon Town and Tiptree United have reformed part of the north Essex football landscape.

In a stunning move, Tiptree chairman Ed Garty has taken over at Maldon from former Town chairman Mick Kirkham with the two clubs coming under a broad umbrella of control.

The move has also seen Stuart Nethercott removed as manager of Maldon and Jam-makers boss Colin Wallington installed in his place and both teams will play their home games at the Park Drive stadium in Maldon.

Changes were implemented late on Thursday, however, existing arrangements for the weekend’s games involving the two clubs will mainly stay in place.

Wallington will take immediate charge of Maldon for their Ryman League division one north game at VCD Athletic, while Tiptree assistant Brad King will lead the way for them in their FA Vase second qualifying round tie against Barkingside, which will still take place at Chapel Road.

Wallington said: “It all happened very quickly in the end, but it had been talked about between the clubs for a while.

“Stuart (Nethercott) hasn’t got the job at Maldon anymore because there is a new chairman at Maldon Town Football Club.

“He has been replaced and I have taken over and I will be going with the team that is there now to ADC Athletic tomorrow.

“Mick Kirkham has left Maldon Town and the ground at Chapel Road has been acquired by other people who will take over that ground and both teams will play at Maldon.

“I believe that tomorrow’s game is Tiptree’s last game at Chapel Road and they will now be at Maldon.

“When it comes to playing staff, I’m not guaranteeing anything at all.

“I will look at players and if there are players at Tiptree who will make Maldon better, then I will look to take them on.

“Brad King will run Tiptree against Barkingside, but that will probably change when we get to grips with it, but Tiptree’s players will all play for Tiptree tomorrow.

“I don’t want people to think I have left Tiptree because I haven’t.

“I’m still as much a part of Tiptree as I was before, but I will be in charge of Maldon and people may see a growing together as time goes on.”

Ex-Maldon boss Nethercott added: “We’ve been taken over.

“The new chairman has come in and he’s got his own ideas on how things should be done and I didn’t figure in them.

“I’m a bit disappointed that I didn’t get the chance to have another go at it.

“The rumour is that they are going to throw money at the team.

“I just wish that I was going to be a part of that.

“It always hurts when somehting like this happens.

“We worked hard to keep the club up last season on limited resources, and that’s the real kick in the teeth.

“But the new chairman has come in and says he doesn’t know me and he knows the other guy.

“That’s his decision, but I’ll be stronger for it.

“I’m not going to be bitter about it.

“I wouldn’t want to have been looking over my shoulder wondering if I was going to get sacked after my first defeat, so it’s for the best.”

“I’m still as much a part of Tiptree as I was before, but I will be in charge of Maldon"

Perhaps THE most ridiculous comment that's ever been uttered in football, league or non-league. That deserves national coverage, that one!

Tiptree has taken over Maldon. They were struggling financially and Tiptree needed a rym 1 ground to play till their new ground would be ready.Quite a normal thing to do but i guess you are always late in absorbing changes. They(Tiptree)set out to achieve rym prem within 3 years but now have the chance with a bit of luck a la W.Abbey to reach it in 12 months! It makes common sense in hard financial times like these, for clubs within a close distance to merge. We can argue all day long how to call the new club,ie Maldon & Tiptree Utd FC,but at the end of the day this will become a common feature in football.I just feel sorry in the short term for the few loyal Tiptree supporters but it's all for a good cause:giving the locals a higher standard of football to watch every saturday.

if 2 clubs merge they have to take up the position of the lowest placed team so any maldon and tiptree fc team would presently be placed in the essex senior league. this may mean that they still push to get tiptree promoted this season.

Of course they will!People that deal with a lot of money ain't stupid...they always have plan A and plan B.The only thing that is unclear to me is the new ground and what they are gonna do with Maldon facilities. It would be nice being involved in this project Rob...proper training facilities, ground etc, etc, etc

You say so much, and yet say nothing.

Kirkham is involved in the Tiptree set up (i.e. "other people"). Wallington gets somewhere but does nothing, Tiptree faithfull, 1) they do not care, the club that is, 2) they do not care, the "fans" that is all 15 of them. 3) More publicity for the suitor of publicity, Wallington that is.

Coach, you knob, think of the players that are screwed up now, as always, you managers and your ego's. And, we all see you are laying your cards on the table, "It would be nice being involved in this project Rob...proper training facilities, ground etc, etc, etc  you are one sick and sad F'er. Run with the foxes and hunt with the hounds come to mind. and don't give me your wop answer anymore, its boring, and no one pays any attention to anything they cannot understand.

You think you know all, but really know nothing. Saddo
