Strange game We came out all-guns blazing and played very well first-half. Great header from Martin, and a fine shot on the edge of the area by Edgey put us two goals-up. Former Leyton keeper James Hasell produced two fine saves, one amazing one from Buchannan I thought, and Sincs had THREE cleared off the line. They however were not without chances and hit the post twice.

Second-half we looked very nervous after they pulled an early goal back and we were hanging on a little as they attacked, although they did not create that much for all their posession. However, they are in a league above us, so it's a great result. Man of the match for me was Simon Martin, who I thought was excellent, followed closely by Danny Murphy, who I thought was out MOM Saturday.

Only sour point was it's a little worrying for Saturday that Sincs and Kean went off injured.

Well done Rebels!

i was very very impressed by the first 20 minutes or so. we really were all over them and they attacked about twice in that time. great cross from Buchanan for Martin to direct a header home well. 2nd goal came when HH had come into it a bit more but fair play to them they kept going and had a few decent chances end of 1st half but HH keeper kept them in it with 2 great saves also towards half time.

2nd half started very badly and the early goal looked to change the game dramatically. however HH never really had many clear chances in the 2nd half despite having so much of the ball

overall i would just about say it was a deserved win for Slough who marginally edged the chances. difference was Slough took advantage more when they were on top

well done lads great win and much welcomed cash with in theory a winnable game next round at home

By my reckoning the score at half-time should have been about 5-3 to 'emel on the clear chances. They hit the post twice including one absolute sitter, Jacko made one great save, their striker failed to make contact with another right in front of goal and several flashed along the six-yard box. Still, in the cup a win is a win. :thumbsup (2):

Highly amused that a dozen away fans couldn't pronounce one letter "H" between them which is a bit of a problem when you support Hemel Hempstead!!

An excellent result and we battled well to hold on for the win in the second half. Two great goals, as well as creating a couple of great chances in the first half. Well done to the boys they did us proud, this can only breed confidence ahead of Soham and Concord games!

Up the Rebels!

First game I have seen since the unconvincing display against Burnhamn must say what an improvement with a few games under their belts the players look a lot more stronger are more confident and playing as a team.

Simon Martin had a cracking game scoring a great early goal to get the team up and running all though the final score could of been so much different with chances going begging from both sides.

Why does'nt Jacko come of his goal line with more authority for corners cause you could see there goal coming from one.

Still its great to be in the next round.

Thought we played ok yesterday and we were always really in control. I guess that is the secret to finishing high in the league is winning without playing at top level. Hope that Sealey's injury isn't too bad. I thought that Edwards was MOTM followed closely by Murphy, and Kean played well too.

7 matches unbeaten and 4 straight league wins, things are going well!

No league game until the 10th of October now because of the cup games, so hopefully we can keep that run going until we return to league action!
