COOKIE ANNOUNCES NEW SIGNING !!!!

AFF

Recommended Posts

Hi Webbo.

No mention of "signing", "committing his future to the Saints" or of "a Pre-Contract Agreement" which means one of two things. Either:

a). The Herts Ad have learnt not to buy that stuff any more and erased it from the press release, or

B). It's true.

I wondered if he is related to that goalkeeper who has just been released by The Daggers.

Aren't you on the mailing list for press releases? Have a word with that chap who ghost writes Cookie's stuff for the local press and the matchday programme. He'll fill you in.

Hi Trev.

I don't know anything about his credentials. Can we assume that he knows the difference between a broken ankle and a couple of sherbets too many? A muscle wasting disease and multiple sclerosis?

Have faith. The management team know what they are doing.

It's going to be good next season.

Goddard came from Langford, where he was player / Assistant Manager to an old friend of Cook, Roy Ryall. Roy was the Reserve Team Manager at Baldock while Cook and Roberts were in charge.

Something in the news section about him leaving to join City, announced ages ago - thought you'd have known!

Now let me get this right.

We have signed an exciting young centre forward, a mate of Cookie form his sky-blue days, who is an assistant manager and phsio in his spare time, called Roy [of the Rovers?] Goddard?

Cookie, Castle, Shrek and Goddard. A bit of experience there, then.

I thought Baldock played in Red! The sky blue was a change kit that they won for winning the HSC but never got to wear because Hitchin decided bully them out of a ground, etc, etc. I can see this thread winding its way on to the general forum very soon.

Only one shirt has long sleeves.

You could auction it to the players to see which one gets it, thus raising funds.

Actually...it's the goalie shirt, isn't it?

Oi Laz. Baldock played in red 'n' white, didn't they? Baldock's triumph in the HSC could be viewed as a glorious day for Baldock, with the prize being the Sky Blue Kit. Glory Days, sky blue kit - Sky Blue Days...

I thought I was being stupid...

HKS. You mean that out of around 17 sky blue shirts, there is a random long-sleeved one? Why is there only one?

Are you going to take up the 'auction to players before each match' idea??
