Under 15;s - great match

Fresh from their defeat of last years league runners up in the first game of the season , the under 15's today welcomed last years London cup , kent cup and mush league champions Dartford to the marlowe academy .

A superb , very physical and competitive game ensued with the points being shared in a 1-1 draw . Margate started the brighter but after about 10 minutes Dartford took a hold on the game, playing with the confidence drawn from last years conquests and last weekends draw with Crystal Palace under 15 academy side they began to dominate , the wind in their favour they scored after 15 minutes with a neat move and finish . Maragte had to battle hard to keep the score at 1-0 with The Darts throwing everything at us using the strong wind to great effect , Josh Mattless made 1 or 2 quality saves but the defence and midfield were superb in keeping them at bay .

The second half started with Margate on the attack and sensing that a result was achievable , the equaliser when it came was "goal of the season stuff" captain Alex Miles and Ryan Freedman exchaging touch volleys in the centre of the park before Ryan striking a 25 yard dipping half volley over the excellent Dartford keeper.

What followed was 30 minutes of top class youth football both sides having chances and every ball strongly contested and no quarter given anywhere on the park .

The draw was a fair result for 2 teams who gave it everyting and although it became a littie feisty i think both sides left the field with a healthy respect for each other .

The Squad was Josh Mattless , Connor Barham , Nick Symaka , James Olver , Alex Miles , Ryan Freedman , Connor Armstrong , Jamie Gregory-Davis , Sam Reeves , Shane Mitchell , Tre Mitford , Connor Lintott , Daniel Osgood , Daniel Gregory-Davis and Ollie Sharpe.

great to hear that the U15's did well :)

Both U12's teams drew today against difficult opponents; U12's A drew 0-0 with Woodnesborough and U12's Youth drew 4-4 with Faversham Strike Force

xx

Freefred - the earliest age we have is under 5's not under 4's and they are not in any matches yet - we have u7'S who play in a league starting soon and from U8's upwards to U14's who all play in the East Kent League. The U15's and U16's play for Kent County league :)
