Posting media files - youtube, MP3, MySpace videos etc...

Many external sites host videos, games, MP3's etc. rather than uploading them to the server or adding a simple link it is far better to embed them into the post here, and allow those media items to be played directly from the forums.

 

We currently can embed the following types....

 

Daily Motion Videos

Flash Movie/Game

Flickr Image Set

Game Trailers

Google Video

MP3

MySpace Video

videos.sapo.pt

YouTube

 

It is nice and simple. Take a link to a video on YouTube - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SgX54M5s9rw

 

Rather than simply adding the link click on the media.png image above and insert the url in the small window that appears - you then get [ media ]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SgX54M5s9rw[ /media ] appearing in your post (without the additional spaces) - this gives http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SgX54M5s9rw

 

Simple :)

 

Exactly the same happens for other media types including MP3's.
